Goodbye mate. At least you have other forums.

Don't get me wrong, I'll very likely miss the place as it happens to be one of the better United forums (at least I used to think so until reading the Rooney threads) with some quality posters on it.

It's a shame how things turn out but that's the way it is. Don't think for one second I'll lose sleep over it.

Corrected for you

I know the failed medical was a wum, but what exactly would it take to fail a medical? If Gundogen signs for city with his knee in the state it is, then on what grounds can you fail a medical?

too*

Come on, if you're going to lambast others for poor grammar, at least make sure you get it right yourself.

Could barely spell my name before I met my wife who is an English teacher. I don't think I have ever lambasted anyone for their poor grammar. Not in my nature.

I've always struggled with the difference between too and to. It's quite confusing to get a grasp on.

Remy failed a medical at Liverpool, then went on to do well at Spurs (was it Spurs)?

Heart disease? Perhaps different clubs have difference criteria for their medical test? Ours needsto be raised especially for defenders since our defenders CBs all getting injured after joining us.

Kidding. IDK

I think it's basically at the club's discretion and it isn't as straightforward as saying a player has passed or failed a medical.

If a serious problem shows up on it that they weren't anticipating, the club may decide the player isn't worth the risk and veto the deal but more often than not, I think it's just a formality.

You can't really fail a medical, if there is a risk of injury the club will decide if it's worth it, so the requirement depends on the player, his status in the team and the club.

This still isn't announced?!

At this rate, we'll be announcing players after the season's started, and they've already made their debuts.

Good question

I guess it depends on what they do in the medical. For example I think Gundogan had an adjusted one, taking into account the injurry.

Some physical tests, you could fail those if you are terribly out of shape
Doctor checking up if you don't have some (lingering) condition that could endanger the longetivity of your contract (very prone to certain injurries or high potential to develop a disease or condition that would prevent you to play football), very unlikley to just pop up on a medical

I've noticed the thread grow 6 or 7 pages since I last visited so I Entered this in hope there would be developments instead I'm leaving saying "that escalated quickly".

Aly Cissokho’s transfer to AC Milan was cancelled due to problem with his teeth.

For some reason, i thought he went somewhere else before Chelsea.
He was in talks with Spurs, joined QPR, was loaned to Newcastle, almost joined Liverpool and then sold to Chelsea.

Zlatan must have broken the testing machines with his power level.

He was initially with QPR after leaving Marseille
Did he score a few goals early on at Chelsea?. I honestly remember reading on Rawk where they were moaning about the club turning him down and 'now look what he's doing, he should of been here'.
My long term memory is shite.

What will happen to RT if it does turn out to be true after all and Mkhitaryan failed his medical ?

Will he get redemption, will he take Rado_N's place as the alpha sheep ?

Britney, Dragon Ball Z... is anyone in this thread talking about Mkhitaryan? :D
