Henrikh Mkhitaryan is confident of succeeding at
Manchester United despite a difficult start to his career at the club.
M.E.N. Sport understands
Mkhitaryan's professionalism has impressed United coaches and the 27-year-old is house-hunting as he attempts to locate a permanent residence away from his temporary quarters at
The Lowry Hotel.
Jose Mourinho is also residing under the same roof as Mkhitaryan but there is believed to be no friction between the pair, who also speak away from United's Carrington training complex at the hotel.
Mkhitaryan expects to get a fair chance to show why Mourinho spent £26.3million on him in the summer and is also unconcerned by suggestions he lacks intensity. Mkhitaryan played in a fervent Borussia Dortmund side and in the Champions League, scoring twice against Pep Guardiola's dominant Bayern Munich.
The Armenia international has made only one appearance since his full debut against City on September 10 but Mourinho confirmed Mkhitaryan would play in Thursday's Europa League tie against Feyenoord.
Another indication of Mkhitaryan's progress was the club website received clearance to conduct an interview with him on Monday ahead of a potential first Old Trafford start in over two months.
Mkhitaryan's desire to return to the first-team was highlighted by his
decision to train alone at Carrington on a day off last month - a habit dating back to his stint at Shakhtar Donetsk - and a source described him as a 'perfectionist and a hard worker'.
While at Shakhtar, Mkhitaryan lived at the club's idyllic Kirsha Training Centre and, after returning at midnight following a Champions League tie, could not sleep due to adrenaline and decided to train in the gym on his own.
"Obviously he is not happy but he is transforming his frustration in a good way which is; close the mouth and work hard and try to adapt,"
Mourinho said. "He is trying.
"I told him this (game against Arsenal) was not the game for you, I don't think he needs 10 or 20 minutes from the bench I think you need a good game and you need to either start or if not to come for the second half.
"He needs less pressure and better conditions for him to express his qualities."
