Harry Redknapp tax evasion law suit

I thought Ramshock was saying it's all a conspiracy that Redknapp isn't jailed because he's being considered as next England manager?

What a waste of taxpayers money!

Some guy at CPS wanting to be centre of attraction.

Pompey fans might also feel aggrieved that he fecked off to Southampton. I wonder how Spurs fans would feel about him now if Wenger got sacked and he went to Arsenal. (And then came back again.... you have to admire the man for not giving a feck what people think, to be fair.)

Redknapp doesn't possess a loyal bone in his body. I've known that from day one. But what he's done to the Man utd fans who despise him so much I'm not quite sure. Never been at a club big enough to talk about your players and hasn't left you for Man City so...?

Or if Capello walks out and Redknapp takes the England job with 3 months of the seasons left, i would love to see some Spurs' Fans and Players faces :D

Wouldn't matter in the slightest, we'd simply install Pearce or Levy himself as manager. Nailed on for first.

Yep, never understood that. The only think i can think of is the way he talks about players to the press but thats about it. Dont hate the man personally neither do i like him. indifferent.

On the plus side, this means he will get the england job, which I wouldn't wish on anyone, and spurs will need a new manager.

It's like a scene from Oliver! In this life, one thing counts... in the bank large amounts (cue urchins and sweeps).

There was some debate about that a page or two back, it was suggested it might be an anti Cockney thing.

Mandaric gave him a gift of several hundred thousand pounds, for no reason, paid into a Monaco bank account, under a fake name. Sounds entirely plausible to me.

Huzzah. I am very pleased

Although this bit made me laugh

"The pair's acquittal blows the final whistle on a five-year £8m police investigation which failed to yield a single conviction."

Even if he was to be convicted, was it really fecking worth it?

Not as simple as that, you have to take into account the money that WOULD be lost if HMRC and the rozzers weren't seen to pursue powerful people they suspected of tax evasion. You have to accept the odd failed investigation as the price for keeping people honest who might be tempted to defraud the taxman but haven't yet.

Even as it is they don't do nearly enough, resulting in billions being siphoned off with impunity because wealthy people with top accountants aren't scared.

A whole load of them were taking bungs over transfers. Harry's 10% is just a legitimation of that culture.

I disagree with practically everything Peterstorey posts, but I have to say that I really don't think he was holding up Arsenal and those associated with that club as whiter than white. Those talking about Parlour and Graham have missed his point entirely.

I guess you know better than the jury, which reached a unanimous verdict having sat through the entire two week trial involving a detailed examination of the evidence :wenger:

You were saying before that Harry would go jail ... just another item in the long list of failed predictions from you concerning Spurs and/or Harry.

So now we move onto your prediction of a few weeks ago that Arsenal will finish above us this season .... but I doubt I'm alone in wondering if your continued doom-mongering predictions about Spurs reflect anything more than a pre-determined, blinkered bias.

Have you got me confused with someone else? I don't feel strongly about Spurs either way. If anything, I quite like them.

A jury has to decide based on a principle of 'beyond reasonable doubt'. I don't. I can decide based on probabilities, and it was probably dodgy.

I'm also struggling to remember if I predicted Arsenal would finish above Spurs recently... maybe I did but I can't remember it.

I do remember that I was one of the few that predicted Spurs would go further than Arsenal in last year's Champions League though. That didn't make Pete happy.

Sorry. I confused you with PeterStorey (apart from my jury verdict comments) ... my apologies.
