I applaud this post.

What’s the difference between that and now when he’s said he wants to leave?
If true
math is hard.Sky saying “Leicester want £80m” then “United are willing to pay £80m” so what exactly is the problem ?
math is hard.
Shouting about overpaying and at the same time wanting him to hand a transfer request. You do know what happens when Maguire hands in his transfer request? He will legally lose the loyalty bonus and then we will have to compensate him or Leicester that.
I think you have your problemSky saying “Leicester want £80m” then “United are willing to pay £80m” so what exactly is the problem ?
Lecister are probably stuck in a loop going on about how they have a billionaire owner and can't be bullied.Sky saying “Leicester want £80m” then “United are willing to pay £80m” so what exactly is the problem ?
Waiting for somebody reliable.SSN saying we've tabled a £80M take it or leave it bid and we'll move on if they reject that.
Yes but the pound is so week now that it raises the price almost hourly. His fee is raising every day. It went from £75m to £90m+5m in a couple of weeks. I'm hopeful we'll sign him at £110m.

Could be how the deal is structured, i.e. timing of payments and add-ons.Sky saying “Leicester want £80m” then “United are willing to pay £80m” so what exactly is the problem ?

First it was £70m, then £75m, then £80m, then £90m, and now £95m.
Ok.
Don't believe the press. If it's true and I'm guessing it's not then Leicester are screwing Maguire over. I hope he makes them pay for it and goes on the cheap next season.First it was £70m, then £75m, then £80m, then £90m, and now £95m.

I am not sure it was ever less than 90m. I know that figure was being quoted months ago and then we allegedly went in with an offer at 70m which was rejected and after that the 80m figure began to be mentioned presumably because it split the difference. The thing is though, Leicester never once said they would take 80m and it looks like they will stand firm and not negotiate which is after all what they have said they would do from the start. If this does not happen because Ed refused to meet the asking price and then stubbornly sat there like Canute trying to turn the tides deluding himself that Leicester would fold just because he wanted them too then he has wasted the whole fecking window and done major damage to our chances of the top 4 next year. I have no problem with Ed refusing to pay the price but when it hasn't changed since June Ihave a mjor problem with the cnut not facing facts months ago and moving on to another target.
He was happy to stay last year. Then Rodgers arrives and he wants to leave. I suspect that happens a lot, Rodgers enters a room and people feel the need to leave.
Why are we even giving them the time of day at this point?

Leicester are monsters for trying to force him to stay.hi
Leicester are starting to believe their own hype. If they ruin Maguire's chance of playing at a top side then other players will notice. No one likes a club that is meant to be used as a stepping stone to be unreasonable
