Maybe leicester won't agree a deal until a replacement is in their team
It’s time to leave off of this stupidity......
It’s not on and probably never has been and is making the club look silly.
Weirdly timed post when it looks clearly on.

Their own fault for clearly briefing the media about their demands. It's a fair point.....
If Leicester bank £80m from Maguire, you can be sure that the valuation of their chosen replacement will suddenly be increased by a good few million too..
Both I guess. You mean the transfer, or rather a disease recurrence?...
They’ve spent more than us this window?Trying to play with the big boys has it's pros and cons!
I mean that's true, but they bought a player they had on loan last season, and a player from Newcastle who hadn't been linked with anyone else? They’ve spent more than us this window?

I take your point, I just bawk at the idea that a “non traditional” top 6 club can’t be “one of the big boys”I mean that's true, but they bought a player they had on loan last season, and a player from Newcastle who hadn't been linked with anyone else?
Maguire has allegedly been courted by City, and the point is Leicester have been briefing the media about the need to break a world record fee, hence they will now have to go an overpay for a replacement, and probably for any other players they want. It works both ways.
Because deals don’t fall through over £10m? I’m sure if we offered £10m more we would have got Sneijder or £5m more we would have got Salas. Basically you’ve wrote a couple paragraphs of nothing that relates to every club in world football.
Except we are Man United and we are desperate. In case it escaped your attention, we have finished closer to 10th than 1st more often than not since SAF left.....
If you/Ed think that's acceptable then by all means let's go down the money-saving route....
So he's worth the same as a right back with one good season and zero caps... ok mate. It's obvious there standing in his way , they say there not but want 80m that's like us asking 100m for Lukaku and saying if it met he can go well he's not worth it , maguire is worth 50m and that's only because the markets gone mad.
Wonder what Brendan Rodgers would have been like if Celtic tried to stand in his way ??

Celtic didn't stand in his way, do you know why? Because we paid the asking price of £9m for him. They set a price and we paid it, we didn't try getting him for £5m or £6m... we just paid the money and he was here within the week. Sometimes you just have to pay to get what you want.
So save us the sob stories of standing in his way, when in reality all you care about it getting a player to your club and not Maguire.
Yea. Walking away when the deal is close and playing Rojo instead would stop us from looking silly
Personally I’d play Axel and not pay twice what Maguire is worth.
All prices are a made up valuation. Footballers aren't in the Argos catalogue.Well the price is easy to pay when it’s nit a made up valuation isn’t it.
Yes, and be weak in the air against crosses.
You’ve fundamentally misunderstand how value is calculated. It's obvious there standing in his way , they say there not but want 80m that's like us asking 100m for Lukaku and saying if it met he can go well he's not worth it , maguire is worth 50m and that's only because the markets gone mad.

Brighton will already have worked this out. £45m for Dunk is insane, but I'm sure they'll get something close to it from Leicester.
No chance that happens in real life.Maguire>United>Dunk>Leicester>A.Webster>Brighton>C.Clark>Bristol City
Too good to be true
VVD to Liverpool took 18 months.Harry Maguire and man utd by now must have dethroned Ross and Rachel for most drawn out will they/wont they.
I honestly couldn't care anymore regarding United and their joke transfer dealings.. Its dragging out far too much and became a farce long ago.. Im tired of hearing literally the same shit every day with absolutely nothing happening. All should have been wrapped up a long time ago..
There are 9 days left until the window shuts. Woodward and whatever other monkeys he has doing these dealing have shown me nothing that says to me they will sign even one more player in this timeframe... Jobsworths the lot of them.
And it just means Ole is stuck with the same charlatans he finished with last season. Woodward's scapegoat its looking like he's being stitched up as.
3 time PL team of the year player - 8 major trophies at Chelsea.Bout to make a younger Gary Cahill the most expensive defender in the history of football aren't we?

The Value of anything is based entirely on the market.
It’s not Leicester’s fault the market has gone mad, but to say they shouldn’t ask for £80m when that’s the market rate is naive and silly.

Nothing like a bit of optimism
Quoted for a few days time. This sounds like Palace. Dunk is NOT leaving Brighton for any team and this has been the stance from the beginning, not for £45 million. Local insider opinion vs merely paper talk.
He is not exactly wrong though.....
