Not a great look as captain, but with so little details, not going to condemn him either. Easily could have been provoked by English tourists.
Probably some Liverpool fans winding him up.

Anyone have any experience with the Greek police?

Fighting even if provoked or in self defence is still unacceptable but WTF is he doing holidaying in Greece with a big spike in infections and a 2 week quarantine expected any time now according to some reports ?

Zero social distancing in that video clip

Wtf is he doing at Mykonos? Wasn’t that the new epicentre of COVID in Greece?

Given his impeccable record off the pitch, it's only fair to deem him innocent until proven guilty. I'd be genuinely surprised to discover he was the instigator.

People saying it's the other English group's fault for provoking him but he wasn't arrested for his altercation with them, the police separated them and then he attacked the police officers which is when they arrested him. This is disgraceful imo.

That's ridiculous, a man has every right to defend himself.

It's the law.

I thought the club reached peak banter club status, but then the captain gets himself arrested in a foreign country.
Greek police routinely take people into custody to get statements before any charges are made. That's why the 'arrest' comes from. It's just cooperating with the police.
Sadly they have to deal with this all the time from Brits and unless it was a serious assault not some random punch throwing, nothing will happen

Bet he didn’t want to bash the police. This guy looks away from a cross along the ground! Maybe he was being a nice lad and was actually helping them.
He marked a United player on a corner, he probably got involved in a scrap with the intention of helping out the local police and ended up lamping one of them by mistake.
Yeah this.

Resisting arrest apparently. Doesn't seem like the type for that to be honest, though when there's alcohol involved you never know.

No after seeing his sneaky kick on Michy he is capable of anything like Son Min.

If it's true what those people are saying.

perfect opportunity to hand the captaincy to Paul.

Mykonos has been a popular destination choice for a lot of celebrities this summer.

Englishmen acting poorly on a vacation site, imagine my shock.

Wow, that's damning!

Shocked a man standing around, bumping fists with a fan and then the temerity to check his phone....It's right up there with Cantona and Matthew Simmons for compulsive viewing

He should be sacked from Utd with immediate effect.
Luckily I was sitting while watching this

All I can say is lucky it wasn’t his mate Lindelof, as he would’ve rushed into the challenge with this hands behind his back.

Used to be a popular place for the gay community. I went there in the 80s and it was a pretty cool place

If he attacked the police (I highly doubt that) then he’ll probably be looking at prison time.

He probably refused to go with the police as he hadn’t done anything and got arrested for not cooperating.

Don't you either want a vocal captain (Ex: loud goalie or cb) Or one that leads by example (Ex: Valencia) but more likely a mixture of both? So Bruno potentially?

Pogba doesn't appear to be too vocal or lead by example when the going gets tough. You can literally see Bruno 110% trying his hardest all game to lead the team. He's also vocal which helps.
Valencia didn't lead by example. Appointing him as captain was the single biggest sign that standards at this club hit rock bottom post-Ferguson. Valencia's final years consisted of his teammates noticeably ignoring him as a passing option, because they'd give him the ball and he's be too cowardly to do anything apart from the Valencia Shuffle of flexing his knees and then passing it back onside. When not on the pitch, the lad wouldn't even do his media duties and show any sign of public leadership. You have to really feck up to spend 10 years at United, become Club Captain and not be deemed worthy of a testimonial.

British pundits would probably applaud his fighting spirit

The latest reports in Greece claim that him and 2 others were aggressive against the policemen too even when they were brought into the police department. Probably, nothing serious though.

Few days ago, there was a photo of Barkley in Mykonos going viral where he was completely wasted and he was carried by his friends.

I dont want to offend anyone but English tourists in specific places (Zakynthos, Rhodes and Crete) have the worst reputation.

I love the rush to judgment. If Harry Maguire was defending his mates then fair enough. If he instigated something then he needs to face the consequences of those actions. Greek Police (and Police in general) don't exactly have a stellar reputation for showing restraint and in these kinds of towns, the Police love to steam in on British tourists.

Let's just wait for some info before throwing him under the bus.
