Worst United captain and worst buy of all time. Someone make a thread to that effect please.
I made a thread suggesting we cut our losses on him & was swarmed for it by the top reds.Worst United captain and worst buy of a time. Someone make a thread to that effect please.

Not necessarily directly at fault, but the limitations really show with this guy. Glacial speed for the second goal, and he’s a yard behind everyone else on the set piece.
A decent, but fundamentally not great CB?
But did he have a good game? He’s part of a defence, the supposed leader of it, and we’ve conceded another three goals. Have you ever watched him do a piece of defending that’s won us a game of football? Everton’s whole game plan was designed to run in behind him and Lindelof, and it worked.Unfairly being blamed imo. Didn’t have a bad game at all.
World's most expensive fridge. That is all.
So stupid. Took DCL wide for a cross that never should have lead to anythingPeople moaning about him not being quicker than DCL and for going to the floor when being foul and kicked in the calf. Brilliant
The transfer fee was one thing, but the captaincy is another. He’s really going to be tough to budge any time soon.I think that's a very fair assessment and I think many would have a hard time arguing against that.
He's decent, but is ultimately upgradeable.
He started ahead of him, there is no way he should of not been 1st to that ball.People moaning about him not being quicker than DCL and for going to the floor when being foul and kicked in the calf. Brilliant

He has quality in certain areas but he’s an Everton, Villa, Wolves level defender. Leicester even! Played a great line for their winner. feck me.

That’s criminal.
I don't hate the guy like a lot of you, think he's generally an alright player but he really does have an error or 6 in him on a bad day. What on earth was that performance.
The problem is the defence and he’s the captain of it. He should be the one leading it, he isn’t even coming close.Did he have a good game? I don’t know to be honest, I don’t think he had a bad game, much the same as many of our players but he wasn’t at fault for us dropping points in my view.
I’m probably fighting a losing battle based on the overwhelming majorities view in this thread, I think it’s so easy to come on here and criticise him as being the problem because of the amount we paid for him and being captain, the problems lay elsewhere from where I’m at watching.
