yea yea yea... sure if contracts mattered all players would leave on a free. While he might not up sticks, he can say show me the money or let me leave.

Why would I celebrate spurs? You are a bunch of also rans. When's the last time you won anything? We are playing crap and still wining. I now hope the rumours are true. Because i know the free ride will end if it is. Dont mean we'll get him of course. It just gets rid of Levy and co

Kane would be one of few players worth 100 Mio+.
Only Lewa and Suarez are ahead of him and they are some years older. In 2 years time Kane might be the number one striker.
Regular contract or not I cannot see him being happy with getting half of what worse players get due to Spurs wage structures. This is too much loyalty to ask for.
They won't sell to us though. Real might come knocking. I can see them lining up with Mbappe, Kane and Ascensio in 2 years up front.
Or Spurs need to make exceptions. They should have the money to do so.
 
Non starter. No way will Spurs/Levy sell Kane. Who would they get in to replace him of equal quality? I mentioned a while ago offer £100 million for him, but I doubt that would be enough now with how the crazy prices for decent players are, never mind the best. Were being asked for £75-£80 million for Morata according to the press, so no way would £100 million get him.

With the new ground, extra attendance extra merchandise sold = more money, as you said they may start to pay more to the better players.

Levy wouldn't dignify a reply to anything under £200m in my opinion.

Edit - and now I read that Sun article. I doubt that's from any sources though. If Levy was briefing anyone he'd be talking about £300m.

wow , remind me again what has Keane won with his club or his country , that's right nothing . He may be top of the pile as a goalscorer but then again so was Gary Birtles . The really big clubs are not circling Keane and there is a very good reason .

While I cant see it happening, Kane would be a very good signing for us.

I do think its a bit of a non starter but he's a better option than Morata, Belotti, Lukaku etc....

I've always found the argument that Player X has won nothing therefore he's not all that good (or the opposite, Player Y has won loads therefore he's fantastic), to be just about the most stupid notion in football.

Firstly, it's a team/squad game, and secondly, the older a player is the more chances they have - simply due to the passage of time - to be part of a team that wins trophies.

The mention of Gary Birtles is, if anything, even more ridiculous. He scored 108 top-flight league goals during his entire career. Kane has scored 99 already.
 
Would be a no-brainer if we could actually get him, although the price would have to be around £125m if not higher, dont believe hes completly unsellable as some are claiming on this, as Levy is a buisnessman, also it is great what spurs do with there wages keeping them so tight but sooner or later it will come back to bite them, Arsenal were the same for many years as well and now look how thats turned out. also will depend how Kane wants his career to be will he be happy at spurs who dont win a lot of trophys or does he want to win as much trophys as possible.

There is no chance Kane is leaving Spurs this summer, I think most people know this. Kane is the bedrock of our club now, he is our future captain and a future club legend. Levy knows this and is looking to build the team around Kane. There is no way he would sell him this summer. Thread should be locked tbh.

No keep it open it's interesting hearing the comments, especially the ones condoning that a club of United's stature should be tapping up players in order to get them.

This is typical tactics from Jose, he started with Dier and now moved on to Kane. You are right of course in that he will not be going anywhere this season or next season for that matter. Just listen to what the guy says in interviews.

Lets buy Tottenham and use them as our feeder club. We take Alli, Kane, Walker and Rose we send Michell, Rooney and Jones there and we appoint Giggs as manager.

Nobody is going to pay Spurs £200 million for Kane. The big clubs are going to tap him up with upwards of 300k pw offers, he's going to let his contract run down and Levy is going to either sell him for a record fee like £100m (which in today's f-d up market is reasonable) or he will leave on a free. There will be shades of Sol Campbell.

Well said. Also just because a player may have a winners medal does not necessarily mean they had a big part to play in actually winning anything.
