Harry Kane MBE | Performances

When was the last time he arranged a 6 year contract for a star player? Genuine question.

It's an anomalous length for a contract - I'd be surprised if there weren't buyout clauses/agreements in there.

He's a really good player, I'd have him at United when Zlatan retires. He's better than Lukaku.

Is it me or do Spurs have a habit of tying every player and his nan down to exceptionally long contracts?

Most of the time the players end up being sold anyway, so at least they get a bit more $$$$ for them.

There have never been such clauses in any contract for a Spurs player ... I'll doubt Levy had made an exception for Kane.

Lukaku is a donkey.
Ordinarily I'd agree, but as we play the cnut on Sunday then he's the best in the league and always plays exceptional well and is not at all an unreliable overhyped Chelsea reject.

8 goals this season.

4 from penalties, 4 from open play. I'd want a better contribution in open play from a star striker.

He'll be a great goalscorer during his career, but wont achieve much if he stays with Spurs (much like Shearer then). I think we need a more versatile forward, who offers more to the team, like Greizman.

Apparently he's scored 50 goals in his last 69 PL appearances for Spurs. He's just a great striker.

Don't know why he signed a new contract when he can easily earn 160k a week at a bigger club.

I don't think he could've earned much more than that, especially with the fee it would take to buy him with his long contract. So it was best for him to take the money on the table, rather than be grossly underpaid for a few years.

And people on here still don't rate him ..

Brilliant finisher.

Was anonymous today. The Kane train has derailed once again.

Yeah, he looked his usual self today. No pens or tap-ins to mask his average ability.

Lol at Jamie Redknapp beforehand bigging him up compared to Zlatan.

He would have done the difference if only he played

Redknapp before the game.

He won't have half the career Ibrahimovic has had. Not even a close comparison.
