Re-read your post.
My post clearly means to say that it's not a certainty that City will progress given that Spurs have done very well without Kane this season. Maybe you should take that for what it is rather than come up with ridiculous conclusions.Re-read your post.

He is making a correct observation, you are jumping the gun with the "logical" conclusion. Sounds more wishful than logical. Then they don't truly need him, and ergo should sell him for huge money now that he's a famous name.

Lolz, thought that was the gist of it.Kane should move to Man Utd., yes.
Why are people talking like Kane has some sort of weak ankles? Delph golf swang and stood right on his ankle with full force! that's why it went over. Very dangerous tackle as we've seen.
Unfortunately Kane should stop these Macho 50/50 tackles as it's just not worth it.

Speaking of Spurs sans Kane, what I will never understand is why we didn't chase Son before Spurs did. Was such an obvious play after the great service we got from Park: same outstanding mental/workrate attributes, would obviously see us as a dream club, and even the suits would love the stranglehold on Korean fanbase.
Actually, I do understand, we seesawed from Moyes to LVG and had Mickey Mouse running our transfer dealings. No feckin' clue.

I'll take your word for it. I just came across him in the 2014 WC and he struck me as the next Park. Squaddie, mind, and it's not like I expected him to get this good, but for ~15M I would have had a punt. But then, I always value temperament/attitude a lot higher in raw talents, while most are drawn by tekkers.IIRC Son was rather a mixed bag at Leverkusen, and not really in any of the elite clubs sights, hence why we were able to get him for a reasonable price. He had shown ability there but was certainly not considered a top tier talent by most.
I don't think it would have been a good signing for you, tbh. He struggled at us in the first season and then has gradually kicked on since, improving year on year. Would he get that same time & patience at a club like United, with the manager turmoil you've had there? Would he have developed in the same way? Even with us there were heavy rumours of him moving on 2nd season, he really was quite poor and very frustrating to watch.
Nah, he went to shut the pass down but never raised his foot passed a blocking action. If he wanted to do Delph he would have, but he backed out. Unfortunately Delph didn't get that memo and swang through with full force, expecting Kane to go at him.Looked to me like Kane tried to leave a bit on Delph and got trod on as a consequence.
This is his 5th ankle injury apparently.

I'm pretty sure most of them have been through contact though rather than just rolling them by himself.
Watch the video and open your eyes. If Kane tried to do him he would have gone in studs forward and done it, wouldn’t he. Instead he just hovers his leg in front to block it.Ok Harry.

Son had to be convinced to go to the PL ... he had basically come of age as a footballer in Germany (moved to Hamburg when he was only 16) and played his entire career there. He didn't speak any English at all (and still speaks better German than English now) and was well established in the Bundesliga. In fact, part of the reason his very first season with Spurs was poor was because the only person at the club he could speak to and hang out with was Kevin Wimmer and he almost returned to Germany.
As for being "up and down" at Leverkusen ... he scored 21 league goals in 2 seasons as a 21&22 year old wide attacking player on a CL squad. His talent was pretty obviously clear (he was nicknamed Sonaldo for a reason), and when Spurs bought him he was the most expensive Asian footballer ever. I think there's been a lot of creative rewriting of history regarding his time at Hamburg & Leverkusen by PL fans who didn't see him play.
Even my old man (a Spurs supporter) said it was Kane's own fault. Are people actually blaming Delph for his injury?
Shame for kane but there was no need to go in like that and unfortunately he got injured because of it.
The fault isn't Kane's or Delph's. Unfortunately for Kane, he's injured that ankle far too many times before and he needs to keep rushing back before the ligaments make full recovery. The pain might go away but the ligaments need time to fully heal and get strong. If they keep bringing him back early, it'll have long term repercussions.
A Spurs supporter in my office wants him to be sold, no joke. Reckons they play better without him and doesn't like his attitude. I don't think any Spurs supporter here agrees with that though![]()
Just repeating what he said pal. Was a bit taken aback that a Spurs supporter wanted him sold. He's an idiot. No offence to him or anything, but a tit.
The only decent argument for selling Kane would be if we could get 200m+ for him and it was guaranteed all of it would be reinvested sensibly (Liverpool style) in to the team.
I don't get the argument that we play better without him, when all our best performances this season have been with Kane in the team. Our football during the period he was missing was woeful, we scraped results but did not play well at all.
As for his attitude, what? He's probably got the best attitude in the whole squad. The star man yet runs his heart out and isn't a primadonna, nor does he complain about wages/lack of trophies/whatever, like most players at his level would.

I know, it's just bizarre.
I don't know a single Spurs fan who doesn't adore him. A world class striker at the club who is seemingly happy to be patient and stay? We're very, very lucky.

I certainly don’t want him sold and I love the guy but I do wish he would pull his neck in a bit, if he continues with these frankly stupid and unessesary challenges he will end up doing perminamt damage to both himself and his career. Most of these ankle injuries have came from stupid challenges, he is shite at slide tackling too. If I was Poch I would simply tell Kane now he has kicked his last ball this season, he always comes back to soon and looks a fraction of the player he is long rest fighting fit for next season. If we reach the CL final and he is fit I’d play him but that’s a massive IF.
He reminds me of those great players from Sevilla, Valencia or Atlético that refuse to go to Barça/Madrid.
He's just very determined and desperate to prove himself, and unfortunately that can lead to stuff like this. You can see why he made the most out of his talent, by all reports he's an animal in training as well.
Agreed though, Kane should be left out for the rest of the season and then spend the summer properly healing that ankle.
No doubt he is who he is through doing all he can to be the player he is rather than a “natural talent”. Having said that he needs to be smarter, he still had a chance at the golden boot and firing us on, he always ends the season strongly and given our fixtures it was all set up for him.
Maybe as he gets older he'll calm down a bit and hopefully will learn from something like this.
I'm mixed on Kane this season actually. His all round game has really improved, but for me he's been dropping too deep in games and we've kind of lost his presence in the box/leading the line. Still managed to get a good amount of goals, but in some games it's frustrating because he seems like he's playing as a midfielder, and I get that it's to see more of the ball and link up with our wide men, but he's the best striker in the world and should be in the box!
