If Sir Alex Ferguson was still our manager, Kane will be a United player next summer. I am 100% confident in that. Kane fits United and I will be surprised if we overlook him this summer. Start at £100m, but do not go higher than £150m
If SAF was still our manager he would have been here years ago.
Shearer is remembered that way because he's the all the Premier league top scorer. He also turned up in the big international tournaments for England.
I don't see Kane being remembered as anywhere near someone like Shearer. Unless he has an incredible next 3-4 years, which i don't see happening.

He's only 27 going 28 in the summer, and he's proven in the premier league. Don't know the quoted price but we'd be lucky to get him imo. We have enough young inconsistent players up top.
With the constant lack of service up top, would help immensely if Kane was playing at United.
Kane is a no brainer transfer. We should be moving heaven and earth to bring him in. He's an RVP sort of signing rather than a Sanchez one, it's pretty obvious whoever gets him is going to thrive.
I'd happily blow all of this year's budget plus half of next year's on him. Has shown divine playmaking skills this year which means he won't be a Fernando Torres and become shit overnight even in his thirties. You wouldn't have the Haaland circus with him in the side. No brainer of an investment.
Im still suprised you guys think Levy will sell to a PL rival. Many sources has said he’ll want at least 200m if he were to consider doing that.

Let’s win EL, finish 2nd on the league this season, shows to Kane pictures of Bruno, Pogba & Rashford, and then shows to him pictures of Sheringham, Carrick & Berbatov winning trophies with us. He will put transfer request for sure. 
You need to know when to sell and reinvest in the team. Those players weren’t anywhere near as good as what Poch was getting out of them. The squad was on its knees and needed to be refreshed and it ended up costing the best manager they could attain, his job.
It was pure greed and not wanting to spend money that got the squad into that position and clearly exasperated the coach
It’s absolutely baffling that Spurs fans still support Daniel Levy. That is the truth.
Just this year, he has given Jose the job, signed up for the super league, sacked Jose before the only type of game he is effective in these days (a final) and put a 29 year old with no experience in charge of the team for their biggest game of the season.
That’s before talking about how he failed to back their best manager in many, many years, didn’t spend money, failed to sell assets and let them depreciate and and let the squad devalue completely (Alderweireld, Dier, Rose, Alli etc... could have been over 200 mil, now worth nothing). He has also saddled them with massive debt on a new stadium, at a time where revenue comes from other means entirely.
Honestly, the only “cracker” is that he retains support among your fanbase. Baffling!

I don’t agree with this at all, even about United, who aren’t at the level of some of those other teams. Shaw is the best LB in the league, we have a good, young goalkeeper. Maguire is a leader and is also at a good age. Pogba is one of most gifted players in the world on his day. Greenwood is one of the most exciting young players in football and there are other examples to be had. There is massive value in the squad.
The squad is miles better than Spurs and Kane/Son carry that team.
Not particularly, especially if he only just realised that he plays for a club that makes it hard for him to get out. It is something that was obvious years ago. If winning trophies was something that was important to him, signing a six year contract in 2016 and another six year contract in 2018 was daft. He could have signed shorter contracts and, as he's by far Spurs' most important player he would have got those contracts which would have given him a bit of leeway for when the day inevitably came that he realised Spurs is not the best place to win trophies.
Although all that being said, even if he had signed shorter contracts I think he would have signed one after Spurs made it to the Champions League final and before Pochettino was sacked which would have still "trapped" him until around 2023 assuming he would have signed a four year deal.
I know....last summer fixed nothing, at least not immediately and with the way Ole has used Amad it might be some time before he’s a starter. We spent a lot of money last summer on not a lot of immediate value. I do think Amad will come good in time

In one way you can't blame them. If someone said I'll up your wage from 80k a week to 180k a week, you can stay where you are, and lap up all the "Loyalty" from fans and all you have to do is sign on for xx years, most would do it.
Players always assume someone will buy them and it'll be sorted out too.

It's funny, as you mention that with Kane and it's true, but maybe it's nostalgia, but it felt like Shearer was properly the best in Europe that summer, and England could and should have won it.
Kane got the goals, but missed the key chance in the semi final at 1-0 up, and we sort of blagged our way to the semi anyway, before being utterly schooled by Croatia.
Ah man. We'd be title contenders for the next 3-4 years if we had both Kane and Sancho. Both players would be willing to come here and it's unclear anyone else (apart from us) will be in for either of them.
Guardiola or not, this team will win the PL. Just stop taking dividends for a year, borrow some extra cash and throw it at Kane and Sancho. We can even cut back a bit on transfers for the next 2-3 years if we can get this team next year.

Shouldn't have signed that contract, eh? City might fancy him but he'll be above our price range. Especially given that a 20-year-old who is already scoring more goals and looks set to become an all-time record-breaking goalscorer might well be gettable for the same sort of price.
We are still better than Spurs yes, but we definitely wouldn't be 2nd without Bruno and Rashford, especially Bruno. We have came on massively since he arrived, he has transformed the players around him and their mentality.
He is their only hope for a top four finish next season. If they miss out on that once again, I think Levy will consider selling him. But this summer I see no chance of him doing that.
For 80M you would have at least four or five teams ready to pay the money this summer, for 130M+ I bet none would still be interested and I am sure Levy would not consider anything under 120-130M.
And even if they sell him, who do they replace him with??? He is 50% of that team, imagine the prices Belotti and other strikes would be valued at knowing Levy has money to spend.

Shearer was golden boot at Euro 96 and scored iconic goals in big games. He performed really well in 98 and 00 too.
Yes nice achievement with the golden boot, but he's lucky with the group stsge games. And they aren't goals that live in the public memory or were iconic at all. And the discussion is about why Kane won't be viewed like a Shearer.
Kane certainly has his qualities but he's not exciting on of off the pitch, he's frequently injured and hasn't really achieved anything at the top end of the game.
As i said, Kane will need to have an exceptional 3-4 years to end up being remembered as a great player.
I think PSG go in hard for Kane if they don't win the CL this year, especially if they fail in the final again.

It’s laughable to think we have any chance of signing Kane or Haaland. I’m sure we’ll be linked to them for months but zero chance either are playing for us next season.
