Committed to the cause at Spurs because no other club was willing to stump up the transfer fee for him. Very honorable, Harry.
Embarrassing. From having your brother as your agent dealing with your contract to relying on a verbal agreement with Levy of all people to doing a dodgy interview with Gary Neville to going AWOL. Laugh out fecking loud.
This was the window. Don't think they'll get another offer as big as that. Levy better hope he hits the ground running or he'll look like an absolute idiot.
No way are we buying what will be a 29yo with serious injury record for over 100mil. The English press will push for it though.Have a feeling he might be at United next season and then will probably get injured a lot though he might as well just stay and beat the Spurs goal scoring record at this point.
Wonder if this means City will spend the 100+ million bid money this summer?
He played 50 games last season for club and Country which is 9 more than Haaland but sure, let's just make up a lazy narrative just because he's 29.This would be horrible. Guy is nearing 30, declining athleticism, injury issues. Still a good player, but I would not like him to be the direction we go
You just got Kaaaaaaaaaned
it is important to hire a good agent, but even Raiola can't do magic with that contract. I highly doubt Raiola would advise him to sign a 6 year contract without release clause.Hire Raiola and u get the move.
I guess it might be more a case of worrying he's been playing that many games for so long & does have injury issues most seasons. Players now easily do 60+ games a season if there are internationals and they do well in cups, there's just too much.He played 50 games last season for club and Country which is 9 more than Haaland but sure, let's just make up a lazy narrative just because he's 29.
I don't see Levy did anything wrong here. Both the club and players need to respect the contract. Yes Kane's agent did a poor job and that is it.Poor bastard.
If Harry had half a brain, he'd have demanded a release clause added to a new contract the last time he and Levy agreed to another extension. Levi obvioulsly may have refused at the time but then time would be working for the player and the chairman's position would get weaker with every passing season. Kane could have just played out the remaining years and walk as a free agent while still in his prime or force Levy to sell him with little time left on a running out contract.
After all the shit Levi pulled over the years I'm genuinely shocked players still expect something different from the man. Regardless of whether you think his hard-arse reputation is good or bad for the club, one thing you can say about Levy is that he's consistent.
Yeah they were offered Laporte/Silva as well.Biggest loser here is Spurs, that was some good money.
