Number 11?
I guess we don't want to upset Martial again
In all honesty, Kane should get the #9.
Martial is pretty much unavailable 50% of the season lately.
Number 11?
The thing with Kane is that it's not all about goals. That's why people bringing up his poor goalscoring record in whatever doesn't worry me. His general play is always fantastic whether he scores or not, and, when you've got other goalscorers in your team like Rashford, Bruno, whoever else, it's less of a worry. For me, anyway!
I think differently. He has one year left on his contract, is 30 and funnily there isn't a big market for him because he wants to stay in the Prem. That rules out Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City. Chelsea possibly but they arnt even in the Champions league. Maybe Newcastle but there are still in rebuild mode. So if he wants to leave we are in pole position. He went on strike just last year to go to City. I bet they made him assurances to keep him happy. Like give us one more year. We will win something with Conte and you will be cemented as a Spurs legend. It didn't work. So now Levy doesn't have a leg to stand on. If he refuses to sell he will have an unhappy Kane for a year then he will go on a free. We should offer 80 and sit back while Kane and Levy duke it outWe’d have to go in hard with a massive bid and Kane would have to kick up a stink (unlikely him doing so). He’d have to hand in a transfer at the very least. Levy is silly if he doesn’t let him go imo. He has a year left and wants to leave. He kept him when he wanted to go city, if he wants to go again, let him go, it’s his career and he’s more than honoured your club. You haven’t won anything with him at the club so maybe it’s time for spurs to move on and try something different. Let the player explore something different towards the end of his playing career and cash in while you can.

I’d agree with you.. but it’s levy. The most stubborn, unflinching man in football. If he doesn’t want to sell him, he won’t, he won’t care how kane reacts, he proved that before.
Please be just the usual tabloid drivel.

Thanks I guessThat's the most sense in a post from you, I've ever read. Are you okay?
Messi Ronaldo Haaland super player.Who do you want
Why?
Surely the number 1 requirement we want from a striker under Ten Hag's style is someone who presses hard and stays up front.
Kane increasingly does neither.
If we wanted just a goalscorer, we had the Ronaldo type, if we wanted a deep assister, we've got Bruno?
I’ll settle for a guy who scores nearly every week and often scores two.Surely the number 1 requirement we want from a striker under Ten Hag's style is someone who presses hard and stays up front.

Exactly my thoughts. Kane is perfect for a ETH system.I feel Kane it’s a premium version of Weghorst.
He can literally do everything he can but better (and more).
I actually think he suits what EtH wants more than anyone

There's no doubt he's leagues above Weigy.
But Kane won't be back in his right back position sliding in to win possession like he would.
However, if we go for Kane, get him and he starts scoring, I'll be on the bus as much as anyone.

Or maybe just a player that isn't in the descent portion of his career and will not cost near 100 milMessi Ronaldo Haaland super player.
Mesironaaland
As much as I love Harry, signing players 30 and above for ridiculous amount of money has to stop at some point.
Good luck finding one of thoseOr maybe just a player that isn't in the descent portion of his career and will not cost near 100 mil
Also how would this approach be sustainable without middle eastern ownership ? Because when the players begin to decline (Kane, Varane, Fred, Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno) in 24-36 months it will require monumental investment to cover a multitude of positions.
Where does the money come from to facilitate those changes at the same time. It's almost a paradigm Kane would require ME based ownership because their business model would give the club the ability to sign a multitude of players in relation to short term decline but to the more traditional western owner Kane should be the least identifiable target. Might as well throw Kovacic into the mix and the club can otherwise become a retirement home.
BOTH of them then. Real Madrid signed Ronaldo, Benzema, Kaka and Xabi Alonso all in 1 summer. That's the sign of a true top club with big ambitions. Their remarkable number of Champions League titles after that was the proof.Feel so torn because see Kane as the ideal person to make the most out of Casa,Rapha and Bruno,on the other hand Osimhen allows us to plan longer term but comes at a significant cost

Huh? You do know that Kane will be on a free next year? He would be in the last year of his contract which expires in 2024.Under no circumstances will Levy let £80m walk out the door. Kane will still be an £80m player next year. His ego won’t let him see another club win £80m off him. He’d be a laughing stock. Again.

Yeah no way are Spurs letting him leave on free, either goes this summer or I am certain he signs a deal to see out career

The problem is more Madrid signed players who played every game. Kane can’t really play alongside Oshimen I doubt.BOTH of them then. I don't think Kane would be the best move at all. More a continuation of the trend of the past few years in this department. Sure he's younger than Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo and Cavani were but for once I'd I'd rather a young up and coming striker rather than risk another 30 odd year old. An expensive one at that.
Why do posters keep mentioning this thing? Why would you want to sell one of the best strikers on the planet if he’s scoring goals for you? Unless you think he’s gonna flop or going to be unprofessional why would this resale value thing matters? If he still has the hunger which he has and scores the goals which you bet he would and gives 3-4 years which he can do easily, why bring up this moot point especially if taken over by the Qataris?30 years old and no resale value. As good as he is that's not a good deal.
We'll be in a situation where we'll need to replace about 5 players in the same time.
Agreed. Also, signing only one striker would be idiocy and depending on martial even as a back up would top even that. I hope we sign someone like Ferguson along with Kane to completely revamp our striking options.Given his age Kane isn't my preferred choice over say Osimhen but I don't see us signing either to be honest. Napoli are as bad as Spurs if not worse for fleecing clubs and demanding huge fees. If we did get Harry I think he could have an RVP type impact though.
