Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

I was happy when Bayern signed him since we desperately needed a quality central striker, and they are rare. Nevertheless I saw him mainly in the English team or the abysmal performances of Spurs vs Bayern, hence I thought of him rather as a playmaking striker, kind of false nine.

What I didn't expect from him is his absolut clinical finishing. I mean, the guy is simply lethal, he's scoring in 9 out of 10 chances. By far the best finisher I've watched in the past 30 years for Bayern. It's not always perfectly pretty, but hey, we can deal with that, we love our Thomas Müller. ;)

I find Kane a lot more clinical actually. Haaland scores a ton of goals because of how much City create but he seems to miss a fair number of sitters on a regular basis.

Do you all think Haaland just spawned at City?

27 goals in 28 games with Norway a side that is much worse then Spurs, England and Bayern.

86 goals in 89 matches for Dortmund and 29 goals in 27 ganes for Salzburg no different teams to Spurs.

Nope, I'm well aware Haaland scores a lot wherever he's played through his career. I was just talking about how clinical they are with their respective chances. I'm a huge fan of Haaland's goal scoring feats but I do feel, and especially during his time at City, he does miss more than his fair share of easy chances whereas Kane appears a lot more composed and clinical. Of course, I might be completely wrong and the stats might prove me wrong with the big chances missed etc.

Making it look easy.

Weirdly I’m happy for him, and I wondered if he will ever captain them! which would be a very strange sight.

Well seems like spurs fan weren't wrong after all, he is actually better than Lewandowski ( or as good at the very least).

Early shout: He'll be top 3 in Ballon D'or next year

In a way 2024 defines his career now.

He's at his peak and already proven himself in another league. Now can he be key protagonist in Bayern winning the CL at Wembley (as they'll be in the mix for sure) and then get England to the final at least in the Euros in Berlin?

Do that and yes he'll be a favourite strong contender for next year's main player awards.

Miss out just again and it will just confirm he should've move out from Spurs sooner to give him more chances.

Winning a CL right away would be amazing, but it's doubtful that they can do it this year as their squad is far too thin. Bayern has to perform really well in the winter transfer window, otherwise they won't be in the mix.

Just imagine he didn’t spend all that time at Spurs. Would definitely be talked about as one of the all time greats I think.

I don't agree Bayern squad is thin especially now that they're out of the domestic cup. CL and Bundesliga (34 game per season) with their current depth is doable. They just need some luck and not hit by an injury crisis (multiple injuries to players in same position). Their squad is very well 2 good players for a position.

The performance part is the issue despite they have very quality players for starting XI. Doesn't look like they're that secured at the back in CL so far. Conceding goals and chances in all of their games so far.

Kane and Bellingham making sure that English players won't be labelled as overrated and overpriced as often from now on.

So gutted we didn’t move heaven and earth to get him in the summer. Should have thrown the kitchen sink at it and really unsettled him, he is unreal. Best striker in the world for me.

exactly what we needed for the right now.

At this rate Kane will be beating Lewandowski’s record for most goals in a Bundesliga season.

This transfer was always going to be a sure fire hit. Would have loved him at United especially when Ferguson was manager, easily one of the most complete strikers of all time.

As much as I’d like him we need creators around as well, he’d be no good here lumped up top with nil service.

The player that we needed. Fair enough we went for a cheaper younger potential option in Hojlund, but to not back it up with another experienced striker is crazy.

He always was. Just as clinical a finished, much better in buildup / as a creator.

Kane, Bale and Modric are a great example of how horrible rival fans are at judging players on other teams. All were obviously blinding talents, but not winning the league made people say some of the stupidest things about the .

They have three CBs, three CMs, one RB in total and their two LBs havent played more than 2500 minutes or so in three years due to injuries. Kimmich already had to help out as a CB one game. Right now, they have one (!) sub for midfield and defense on the bench plus a 20 year old talent with 300 minutes as a professional or so.

They have to rush players back from injuries right now so let's how all of this turns out in the longer run.

I can see either City, Arsenal or even Newcastle win this year's CL. The other teams are not strong enough. So, if we can't win it, I want Bayern to win it and they'll have a great chance with Kane in their team.

Yeah, I was surprised by ti vu mentioning Bayern's adequate depth, too. Loaning out Stanisic and not signing a 4th CB was stupid.

Edit: sorry, i thought this was the Bundesliga thread. :wenger: Regarding Kane: he is as advertised which is a big praise. He also seems more clinical than Lewandowski.

Kane's always been at a ridiculous level. I don't think there's another striker out there with his all-round type skill who could've achieved the consistency he has at Spurs over the years.

Put him in that City team last year and he'd have achieved those Haaland numbers (plus probably more assists) as well, IMO.

In a sadistic way not getting kane was better for him imo as much as that hurts, this club/team would have dragged him down and probably stalled the back end of his career, actually surprised how clinical he is maybe due to the fact bayerns team create more possibly or the league is a bit more open but good luck to him anyway.

I haven't been watching Bundesliga and Kane a lot this year, but saw the game on the weekend against BVB. It seems very wise that Tuchel has changed the position of the wingers, so Sane plays on the left and Coman plays on the right, because they don't need to overlap, but mainly put crosses and passes inside for Kane. Majority of their careers, they've played inverted wingers. I guess it's a thing that we could watch because Hojlund is a type of player that needs service from the flanks.

He's doing extremely well, but was always likely to since he's probably the best striker in the world.

Shame we didn't get him because he'd have scored... Well, probably zero goals since we create nothing  a very lucky escape for Harry.

15 goals in 10 bundesliga games. He’s a joke
It's been reported by loads of journalists and media outlets as a new record, but he's tied with, of course, Gerd Müller. Lewandowski's best was 14 in the first 10, 16 in the first 11. Still excellent company to be in, and if he continues this form without major injuries, Lewandowski's recent 41 goals per season record is in great danger.

Moving to a farmers league and making a mockery out of it. Anyway enough about Haaland.

I hope those that gave me pelters for saying he's better than Haaland feel a little bit silly.
I didn't realise this was an commonly held opinion, wasn't there a thread on Kane vs Haaland and Kane comfortably won because he's so much better all round? Also maybe Haaland will adapt his game by the time he's 30 and we can reassess.
