Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

I agree Bayern have the money I just don’t think they’ll pay crazy money on a single player. Yeah the striker market is poor right now. The point i was making was specifically about Osimhen who wouldn’t cost €100m but more like €130-50m which is insane.

No proper football club would pay that insane money for Osimhen, who played a few years ago at Wolfsburg and achieved nothing there.

Unfortunately, the oil state or sugar daddy clubs will and that's why the fees are that high despite the striker market being piss poor.

I could see them going for Kolo Muani for a cheaper price than Kane or Osimhen.

He is a worse fit in a ball possession team. And whereas Kane has put in numbers for both the Tottenham squad and the English national team Kolo Muani just has been real good this season - having as many goals as Gnabry in 700 more minutes or only one more as Musiala in 400 minutes more.

That is bullocks - does not match to the whole story or the way Hoeneß/Rummenigge work.
Don't blame the messenger! Didn't Football Italia used to have quite a good reputation... or have I dreamt that up? By the way, The Sun claim he's building a house close to Chelsea's training complex so "must be going there"... of course by that logic so am I because I used to play at that ground before Abramovich bought the whole place

Being German myself I can definitely second this.
However, I would rather consider such mindset as absolutely normal. Why would anybody be fine with being taken to the cleaners? Overpaying makes no sense to me.
Totally agree.

My bad if I made it sounded like a bad thing. In fact imo people especially the young ones should learn from that.

I've seen so many overpaid for things they didn't even need, sometime by the money they didn't even have (credit). And imo it's definitely not how you should manage your finance. I'm not German but personally I really hate overpaying as well.

Oh the London media boys are desperate for him to go and reunite with Pochettino

It is better for him to go to Bayern. Bayern next season will have a front three with Mane, Kane, Sane.
No.
Mane was the biggest flop this season. We all still hope that he leaves.
And there is Coman, Musiala, Müller, Gnabry, Tel, Sane and Mane for the 3 other positions behind the no. 9.

I really want him here but agree it would be the best decision for him. Guaranteed trophy and better chance at the CL. Then probably Kane himself and surely Spurs fans wouldn't want to watch him scoring against them for the next 3-4 years.

Poetry is wasted on these plebs, Thierry.

Thing about going to Bayern is that, yes, it pretty much guarantees him a trophy; but is it really a trophy that means much of anything these days? What is it? 11 in a row? The procession the BL has become has made titles for Bayern almost meaningless at this point. If they don’t win the title it’s a massive failure, and if they do it’s just the expected and most predictable outcome. So he’s essentially playing for them for the chance of European glory. Kind of like what signing for PSG means.

In Europe, you think, with Kane they would stand a much better chance. But watching them last season under JN and then TT, you got the impression they are miles off winning the CL. Even with Kane. Now, coming to United isn’t likely to put him any closer to the CL trophy - I fancy United’s chances with Kane to be reasonably comparable to Bayerns’. And he wouldn’t be guaranteed a league title. In fact the best he could hope for would be a title challenge as an underdog. But he would have a shot at picking up a trophy or two in the hotly contested domestic cups, and he could keep up his quest to become the all time leading PL scorer.

Personally I think going to United keeps him much more relevant at the top level of the game. The BL is currently lacking in any credibility as a top league. Bayern, and their lopsided financial dominance, has killed that competition.

Mane is completely finished and most Bayern fans want him out.

Sane is alright.

Their team has a lot of holes nowadays and the Bundesliga is super weak. One of the worst Bayern teams ever still managed to win the title.

I think going to Bayern 3-4 years ago(provided they had a hole then) was a much more enticing option.

Its essentially a question of what he values more, the possibility of winning some league cups or a league trophy in Germany.

We're miles off winning the league and our European jaunts have been meek at best. I'm not sure how going to us keeps him more relevant, apart from someone who's solely interested the premier league. Bayern are still a European superpower, regardless of your view of the Bundesliga.

That's delusional. Despite their recent struggles, they are a much better team and the number one thing they lack is a great striker. Sure, we could change that with an amazing transfer window but... our first signing seems to be Mason Mount.

I think that breaking the Premier League all time scoring record MUST be a big factor for Harry Kane.
To walk away when he is so close, that he could break it in the next 2 seasons, I really don't think he would be keen on moving abroad.

If I was Kane, I'd see out my final year at Spurs, especially as Maddison is incoming, they might just have a great season, if not, he will be 20 odd goals closer to the record, then join another PL team on a free transfer.
I'm sure that every PL team would be more than eager to have Kane on a freebie, even City.

I've never been convinced by the stories of Kane coming to Old Trafford...but a new GK + Kane would make next season very interesting.

Would push United into the conversation for the league if it happened, outside chance but it wouldn't be unrealistic.

I am starting to be worried about striker position. Pre-season starting soon and we are not in talks with any striker.
Shame if we gave up from Kane. He would be literally perfect perfect signing for us.

Hojlund maybe

If Kane was going to be our striker, there's no way he would have been done before pre-season starts. Levy's stance was always going to make that an imposibility.

I don't believe we have given up on Kane contrary to reports I think we are waiting for Levy to show his hand , big if Tottenham actually starts negotiating fee with Bayern then I can definitely see United jumping in.

Not gonna lie; he looks decent and has potential but he would be underwhelming signing for no1 striker. We need proven striker.
If they're going for an elite striker who is expected to get around 30 goals a season, I think it's Kane or bust. I can't think up an alternative

I'd personally be happy for United to pay £120+m for him after sales if they can. I think he's that unique a talent.

If they can't get him, then I still think they should get a young striker who they believe to have the potential to become a 30+ goal striker

I agree. I am thinking the same. Striker wins you games. Kane is (imo) best no9 in the world and in his case i don't care how silly we would look by paying over the odds. He would transform this team on another level.

Athough, Osimhen would too i think. But yeah, we should really go all in for Kane. No matter what cost is.

Every day that goes by in which we're not bullying Spurs into selling is another day that United are failing miserably in this summer window. There just isn't a more clear and perfect solution to our attacking problems than Harold Kane.

And, furthermore, I don't want to live in a world in which this club value Mason Freaking Mount at 60 million yet aren't jumping at the opportunity to buy Kane for 'only' 100 million.

I hope after we're done faffing about with goalkeepers, we actually make an effort to sign him.

As it stands, we desperately need goals in the team.

:nono:
It has to be Mane, Kane, Sane. The most insane forward line in football.

If it’s someone who’s ever played in the Dutch league or been affiliated with ETH / Ajax be worried… if not, relax, we won’t be in for him.

Some people on here would probably turn their noses up at Ronaldo (the old one) because he used to play for PSV
