Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

From a United perspective I would like to find out whether he is that good he can turn us from also rans into contenders. I suspect though that he'd merely get us much closer to City but nowhere near enough to actually finish ahead of them.

How do you propose to do that

eh? I don't work for United mate, so I'm not part of the negotiating team.

I'm saying that I'd love to see him play for united to find out if he could be the difference maker. My hunch is that he'd be good, but him alone would be not enough to get us ahead of city.

Oh yeah we definitely need more, ideally this summer we could have hot

Onana
Cheap Backup CB
Cheap Prospect CM
Rabiot
Kane

as i've said before, gambling £100m on Kane re-signing in the next year, when Spurs are almost certainly going to be out of the top 4 again, is, well, a hell of a gamble. i hope he stays now and Levy does indeed lose him for nothing. it's what his supposed strategy deserves to be honest.

Or what is best for the club is to have one of the best strikers on the planet in our team which gives us a much better chance of success in the next season than without him? We made a total balls of the Bale money, what makes you think we wouldn't do the same with 100m from Kane sale?
I think it more depends on what you view your season targets are with and without Kane. Personally, don't think Spurs has a hope in hell of top 4 next season regardless, so forcing him to stay 1 season (on the assumption he leaves on a free) to not get top 4 anyway is just a dumb business decision. It's a huge gamble that only pays off if you get top 4 and he extends. That only really happens if United/Madrid/Bayern all sign a striker and Kane is then out of realistic worthwhile options next year, so might as well stay. If you think he is leaving on a free next summer regardless, then you pretty much have no choice but to view Kane as a 1 year loan deal worth whatever a club is willing to offer. So 80m for 1 year of Kane, with the expectation to finish... 6th? Doesn't really make sense.

On the other hand, no European football will mean Son and Kane likely stay fresh (if they stay) and gives more of a chance at a fluke league run and put you right amongst it. Also, it's top 5 next year to qualify for the CL, realistically between city, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle (Brighton and villa will be inconsistent with the added congestion).

The problem is, West Ham want 100m for Rice. Levy just simply cannot sell for less. I think 120 and Levy would start yo negotiate and will probably close at 150. he can then label it as a British transfer record.

Kane is a bit of a wuss. He signed that stupid contract. Didn't push hard enough 2 years back when City wanted him.

He is happy where he is.. Big fish small pond.

Will probably sign another 6 year contract in a month.

He doesnt have the smartest agent (his brother) either. If he wants to go to Madrid, then he has to push for it this summer, as next summer Mbappe will be arriving in Santiago Bernabeu.

Obviously we will wait for him. Thing is though even if he pushed for this summer and levy gave in, who would spurs sign as a replacement? Strikers are so hard to come by this summer.

Rice is 6 years younger and has 2 years left on his contract (1 year + 1 year option), so not really comparable. No team in their right mind is getting anywhere near those figures for a guy who will be free next summer.

Too little too late for United, should have bought him 5 years ago.

i dont see any value in him now unless we get him on a free, Superb player but the financial package to get him would be astronomical and he prob has 3/4 years left at the top possibly?

This cnut Levy. People say he’s a businessman so he won’t take a risk losing a £100m asset for free but he’s a cnut before a businessman. He would happily welcome a violent diarrhoea every day for the whole season than selling Kane to us this summer.

He’d obviously choose us over the other interested teams. The only problem is there stupid owner won’t sell to us or if he does he’ll want double as we’re in the same league.

This really needs Kane to kick up the mother of all shitstorms if it’s ever getting off the ground.

The delusional prick has always seen us as rivals for some reason, even when we were winning the CL and trying to buy Berba from Spurs was like trying to extract blood from a stone.

He’s the kind of bastard who would go back on his word after making false promises as Kane was signing his 8 year deal.

Would kane genuinely make us title challengers single handedly? We finished with 75 points this year, you have to imagine kane instead of ronaldo/weghorst and we could have had an extra 10-15- points

It's not like Haaland joining city where they had previously scored a lot of goals anyway, we genuinely lack that type of player. We should move heaven and earth to get him IMO

Indeed. The bald cnut hates us with passion for some god damn reason. Would do anything to satisfy his own ego. He’s hasn’t learned his lesson after losing Eriksen, Dele Alli etc for peanuts and making bad decision after bad decision for Spurs.

I really want to see him write off £80m-£100m and Kane move for free next year. Football clubs are businesses end of the day and you can't take such a big hit especially with no Champions league football next year.

He is just driving up the price for the few contenders that exist for Kane. He will move end of August if clubs are ready to wait for him.

Could see this happening on deadline day if we get some funds and he does a Berbatov and pushes for it. Until then there’s no way I’m getting drawn into this saga.

I just don't see Kane pushing for this move at all.

He'd have to kick up a major fuss and even then, I'm not sure Levy budges. He will gamble on Spurs having a good season and potentially turning Kane's head.

Surely levy Isn't that stupid? Didnt he give kane his word he'd let him go if a good bid came in then went back on it, surely no way he renews again

He's a prideful person likely to a fault. He'll think Kane can have his mind changed.

And maybe Kane ends up staying if he doesn't move this summer. He doesn't strike me as the type to seriously push for this move. And it's his own fault in the end. He never should have signed that contract to begin with if his intention was to compete for trophies consistently.

You are right, there’s no way he renews again. But don’t forget who Kane’s agent is. The master mind, the super agent Charlie Kane. Don’t bet on them two. Dumb and Dumber might end up signing yet another contract and this time on reduced wages. Levy is too clever for them idiots.

Kane needs to push this thorough

He did about all he could when City came calling, and that was a guarantee of titles. I guess the year left on the deal makes a difference, but does he have the stomach for that when he can just see out the season and sign with whomever he wants?

I can't see it. If he doesn't move this summer he's only 30, can likely get a big signing on fee, and will have his choice of us, Madrid or Munich.

He's going to stay in England for at least the next 3 to 4 seasons in order to break Shearer's all time PL goal record.

He'll get paid more, challenge for trophies, and assuming he's fit, he'll surpass Shearer.

Plus he doesn't have to be official club captain. Can just play his game and let others like Bruno, Casemiro, and Marcus get the spotlight.

All time goal scorer for boyhood club, England Men, and Premier League...that's nice. All while staying along for a medal or two...

The problem is he kicked up a fuss to an extent when wanting to join City, however when it came to the crunch he wouldn't go through with it. Mind you I really don't know what he could do that could make Levy give in and grant him this move.

Imo this mf just wants more. This will drag for a while but imo he'll sell eventually. It's his last chance to cash in and as you said he should have learned his lesson with Eriksen and Alli. And there's basically no chance Spurs would qualify for CL next season Kane or no Kane.

This imo is actually not a bad thing for us. As long as the takeover doesn't get done yet we don't have the money for Kane I think. Considering we reportedly would keep MG and the current market I don't think we really should spend big on Hojlund now but should wait a bit for Kane. Imo Hojlund is still quite raw and the price being quoted is simply crazy.
