Not even close, not even for Chelsea appointees in the last few years.
Derby to Chelsea is a way bigger jump.
Didn't OGS go from Molde to Man United?
How did those turn out?

This. Not just players, but i'd say professional athletes in general. People would be surprised at how little they know or care about the outside world.I have met and dealt with many ex, and current players in my line of work, and believe me, an awful lot of them are 'thick' and almost all of them are self centred.
By having experience and first-hand knowledge of the type of institution he was supposed to be managing. The same institution, even.

If anybody deserved time it was him - as he proved his ceiling was extremely high (smacking @adexkola favorite coach 3x in a row on the way to the FA Cup / CL double)
Ended badly but that doesn't mean they didn't happen.
When did Sean Dyche get smacked 3 times by Tuchel?
As an elite manager of an elite club, a high ceiling extends beyond single season successful cup runs, otherwise Di Matteo should have been given more time due to this high ceiling he accomplished (against greater opposition than a Porto and vastly overrated City ). Tuchel never demonstrated this extremely high ceiling with Chelsea. Case in point, finishing 20 points behind City and Liverpool.
Why are you so desperate to shoot Tuchel bail? He's a top manager no doubt. Apart from 2 great cup runs, he never showed it consistently with Chelsea. Partly due to unfortunate circumstances beyond his control. Partly due to the same factors that made his time at Dortmund and PSG end prematurely; he's a difficult person to work with. Unlike most of his elite peers. And he's not that special to be exempted from the consequences of that.

Graham has rejected an approach from Leicester about their vacant managers job
Is this true? Is there a source?
Dunno anything about them, but...Is this true? Is there a source?
Implies that he has the ability to do so?Bet it was Mason Mount

In fairness, that line has historically worked given the jobs AVB and Mou walked into straight after us.It was not my fault that I fecked up with a huge budget at a Champions League club.
my money would be on one of the 2 bolded eventually getting it.So who do you want as the next manager then?
Luis Enrique, Poch, Nagelsmann, Amorim, Zidane seem some of the names mentioned by the press...

Yep, and those huge hands. Stark contrast to the submissive Potter, who couldn't even keep both arms on the table. How can you look at that Boehly face and not be absolutely confident and reassured about moving in the right direction if you are a Chelsea fan is beyond me.
depends how much money gets dangled in front of them. Most manager would take the job regardlessDo you not think missing out on CL football could play a part in who you get?
13m payoff according to the mailThat's been debunked by Ornstein and Matt Law:
"Potter is believed to have taken the news, delivered face-to-face at the training ground, in an incredibly professional manner, and has agreed a severance package unrelated to the five-year deal he signed when he replaced the sacked Thomas Tuchel last September."

I bet a lot of people will look at this and think “Potter is a joke”, “Too small for big players” etc., rather than footballers are dickheads and stupid.
Wearing a baseball cap and a (dreadful) suit too.
Never trust a man who doesn’t wear a time piece.
May as well be a time piece. Most redundant piece of silverware you can wearNever trust anyone who calls a watch a "time piece".

I can vividly see him going around the working place and shouting "we will kick some asses, yeah!!" while slapping on the back every poor soul that comes near him.
Not to be trusted.
