Television Gomorra (TV series)

Finally got around to start on this, two episodes in and it's very promising. I sort of knew it would be good when i read that it was kind of like a mix between the wire and sopranos.

finished the second season of this last night. Amazing show. Up there with Wire, Utopia, Six Flying Dragons as one of my favorites of all time.

The characters are realistic and intriguing and the cinematography is just fantastic. One of the most beautifully shot shows or movies I've ever seen.

The second season was a little disappointing (mainly because of the plot holes) , albeit still top notch, but the first season was something else. The first season is definitely on the level of the Wire, IMO.

Great way to put it. I like that they don't really try to make Ciro sympathetic at all. He's just ruthless and that's it. No trying to make him have some nice quality. No feck that. He's just a remorseless power hungry person. Also I really like the evolution of Gennaro as a character.

I've seen both series so I won't spoil anything for you. I found it gripping all the way through.
 
Just finished season 2, what an amazing show. Brutal stuff!

I watched 5 episodes so far I think and I have no idea if anything happened.
 
Just finished season 3 and I really enjoyed it, think I rate it higher than season 2 (with 1 being the best). Last 2 episodes were fantastic.

Have to say I think Ciro is one of my favourite characters of all time, such a savage fecker but still find myself rooting for him. I liked what they did with him in this season after all he's been through.

Will be interesting to see what route they go with season 4.
 
It's difficult for a show that kills so many characters to develop new ones who will fully appeal to the viewers. Not sure they pulled it off completely.
 
Season 3 was very meh. That Blue blood guy story was terrible. Ending was pretty shit too.

Very disappointed by this season after first two.
 
What's this show like? Is there much character depth? A lot of brutality? Good acting? Are there any plot holes?

Im not sure whether to finally dive in..:confused:
 
Watch first two seasons. Skip the third.
 
Just started this with the missus last night. It's quite promising. I like the downtrodden look of it. Fecking brutal too.
 
3rd season is shite, just watch first two seasons.

Tbh, the series really falls in quality with each season. The first was an undisputed 10/10 for me, the second 8/10 and the third 5/10. It's still worth watching all the way though.
 
Season 4 is finishing next week. Been good, but a bit fragmanted and not up to previous season's standards.
