Golf 2024

Anyone have any experience with online pre-owned club purchasing for the US? Looking to get a gift for my brother who's still stateside - seems like anecdotally Callaway's certified pre-owned site is pretty reliable even for non-Callaway brands? It's extra irritating because he's left-handed
So I’m also left handed and purchased a pre owned driver (Cobra King Radspeed) from Golf Avenue. It arrived quick and was in the excellent condition that was claimed. Got it for a good price to I think. The model is a couple of years old, but the club fitter I went to said any driver from the last 10 years is going to be similar tech.

Ah good to know! He's sort of half bitten but not fully by the golf bug - I'm hoping that he'll be a bit more keen with a driver that is not 20+ years old. Not trying to get something cutting edge or anything; hopefully something forgiving from the last few years in the ~$200 range.

Will check Golf Avenue - though another small complication is I'd like to buy it for him but I'm in Portugal so I've run into issues with my EU card not being accepted at various sites. Thanks for the recommendation though; super helpful especially from another lefty!

No problem. I can commiserate with the difficulty in finding LH clubs.

Was worried about the Presidents' Cup being not compelling after day 1 but seems that was unfounded...?

Brian Harman over Akshay Bhatia was idiotic then and even stupider now. The US has to be using this as an opportunity to expose the guys who will have to come through in the Ryder Cup in 2027 to a hostile match play environment. I'd have taken Nick Dunlap too probably.

Completely tied going into the weekend! What a result.

Im and Matsuyama being an utter buzzsaw really set the tone - has there ever been an alternate shot pairing that made 8 birdies in a row in any format before today?

Randomly came across the Major Cuts series (5 episodes) in Bryan Bros channel and it show how difficult it is to just make the cut at Majors. I mean these are not bad players by any stretch and Wes is actually in the PGA, but still....

They play the traditional Thu & Fri 36h with first 18 in Grant's channel and 2nd day in BB's channel. Just watch Day 2 and it's good enough! I thought Grant was decent, but BB are way better!

Oh, and Whistling Straits is just so beautiful!

The TGL… not sure how I felt about it to be honest other than Matt Fitzpatrick is not gonna be good for viewership, man he’s dull.

May try and find highlights tonight - I've never been overly keen the idea but give it a go
