Golf 2023

Had to be the Koepka pair getting a beating, wonder how often it is those who mouth the most who lose the hardest, across any sport.

Why are Europe wearing tops with red shoulders? Was it the same yesterday?

I feel really sorry for Scheffler being on the receiving end of the biggest losing margin in Ryder Cup history. Not so sorry for Koepka though. He's not quite a Patrick Reed but still a bit of a twat at times. Not someone I'd want on my team when I'm in trouble.

1st and 3rd matches.
I think Spieth in particular but also Thomas are just playing too inconsistent to make a comeback and hold it. They’ll win some holes but they’ll give some up too. I’d be very surprised if it goes to anything more than a tie for them, and even that I see as unlikely.

Yeah agreed, felt bad seeing him in tears after that even if he's usually boring.

Any of the LIV golf lot thought I have no sympathy for whatsoever. Welcome back to competing with the best players for pride instead of money.

Nobody will over take tiger come on. Everyone else is competing for 2nd. Does he have that potential?

They seemed to have a bit of momentum but that monster putt from Rory will probably knock that on the head

I don't even see anyone breaking double figures in majors in this era of golf. It's too competitive. Koepka could get close-ish, maybe.

“It is understood that Patrick Cantlay refused to wear a cap on Saturday morning for his foursomes match because he is not getting paid to play in the biennial contest.”

From BBC Sport - what a tool if that’s true. How much money do these guys think they need?

Nah that was bollocks.

They still regularly do videos together and I’m pretty certain that Rick owns part of Finche’s channel.

Also it was actually Guy Charnock that had a go at Pete not Rick but it’s Rick’s show so essentially anything that comes out is from him.
Really? I read that and just believed it.
When was the last time they did a vid together?

Patrick Cuntlay, more like.

Even Jordan relented a bit & draped a flag over his shoulder.

He just wants to avoid the half white, half tanned face look

Another fantastic morning for Europe and exactly what the US didn't need. It's no exaggeration to say they need a 4-0 this afternoon.

And they’d still need to win the singles 7.5-4.5 then.

That's not what is was, he was basically moaning about Rahm's putt on 18 going in off the backboard

 No he didn’t…

Jon Rahm has responded to Brooks Koepka's comments about acting childishly during their match yesterday.

"I mean, I'm not going to stand here and say I'm a, you know, perfect example on what to do on a golf course," said Rahm. "But I play and compete.

"I'm not happy I left a 10-footer short on 17 to possibly tie the hole, and going up to the tee, I let off some frustration hitting the board sideways, I kept walking, never stopped, that was it.

"If Brooks thinks that's childish, it is what it is. He's entitled to think what he thinks. I'm very comfortable with who I am and what I do.

"I've done much worse on a golf course like that. That doesn't even register to a low level of Jon anger on the golf course.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm very happy with who I am, and I needed to do that at that moment to let off some steam and play the hole I wanted to do.

"Is it right or wrong, childish or not, I don't know, but that's what I needed at the moment."
