Music Glastonbury 2023

Ooooooooohhhhhohhhhhhhhhhhooooo

It’s mad he’s such a good pianist. I’ve always imaged his fingers are like half sausages

I know he wrote all this music but I always find it super impressive when people play the piano without reading it off a sheet.

I keep getting up to go to the toilet to lessen the FOMO

There's a definite case of mumble through everything but the chorus.

The songs are such classics it doesn't really matter though.

yeah I get that. His voice actually hasn't gone as much as Macca's, or some others... it looks like a great show regardless.

They say Paul McC got 300000 last year, I think this is equal maybe bigger
There's not 300k people there to begin with.
Usually circa 200k people there.

But Macca defo had 500k people there.

Reading music's hard. Improvising based on a rough idea of what you're meant to be doing is way easier to me.

Yeah me too.

Although I can’t read music or play the piano so there’s not much in it to the casual listener.

Meanwhile, Alt-J are providing a mellow alternative to a much smaller crowd.
C'MON JOSHUA .... HURRY THE FECK UP!!!!

One of the best days of my life was going to see him with oates at Sandringham, an open-air concert one summer. I got tickets at the last minute from eBay, just on a whim.

We sat on the grass in the sunshine, we just had a carrier bag with a few snacks (everyone else had chairs and tables and big boxes of food), and it was a wonderful, lovely day.

He's a good turn, that's for sure.
