Glastonbury 2011

Christ, if Zane Lowe interviews Bono I won't know who to hate more. They'll try and out-cnut each other.

Anyone see the huge 'Don't buy the Sun' flag there?

Last year Muse singing U2.
This year U2 singing Coldplay.
Next year Coldplay singing Muse and the circle of cocks is complete?

I'm not even a Muse fan these days, but they're at least as good live as any of the above.

Watching Heilocentrics on interactive.

Class, never heard of these before, I likey

Good disguise...

Primal Scream are very good.

Kind of what U2 could be if they weren't so over-earnest, up their own arses and embarassingly dad-at-wedding like, and had an ounce of funk between them.

Don't know what's wrong with Mani, mind. Every time the camera shows him he looks like he's just remembered something horrendous.

I’m not particularly a U2 fan (don’t buy their stuff or go to see them live), but I totally respect them and what they are.

The disrespect for them from so many over the last few years has become tiresome and clichéd. Give it a rest and admit that they are legends and give them some god damn kudos. They are responsible for some real classics

Let haters hate bro. World wouldn't be right without the bitterness.

I'm usually quite anti-U2 as a band. Not for political reasons, but musical reasons.

Never have I been so wrong. What a fantastic show last night. Enjoyed every moment - fair play to them.

Also, singing Jerusalem, was that bridge building? At the time I thought so, if so, such a profound moment.

U2 shows look and sound great, there's no denying that. They put all that tax money to good use. If Bono didn't insist on being a cock for the sake of being a cock, they'd be perfect.

Moz looked and performed like someone who'd just been told half his crowd had decided to bugger off and watch Radiohead instead. Then the Radiohead crowd apparently ended up looking like Moz.

Just a tune BBC Radio 6 @ Glastonbury played yesterday, thought it was amazing.

Had to share it, like a Dub/Electro/French House track. Pretty fecking good.

Bono will always be a bit of a cnut but that Edge fellow sure can play the guitar.

Pretty much sums them up for me.

Smart of them to only play about 3 songs from later than mid 90s... they really do churn out some dross these days. I can't tell the difference between Vertigo, Elevation and half the rest of their more recent singles until they hit the chorus line.

Just in the circus tent. Watched Crystal Castles instead of U2. Much better choice :)

One of my mates who's there was saying that on the way back to his tent last night, a bunch of people dressed in robes and Jason x masks came up and starting hitting him and his mate with plastic swords, while his mate was screaming "who's paid you to do this? tell me who's paid you to do this!" at them.

I miss festivals

I will go to Glastonbury at least once in my lifetime. Get really jealous watching it on TV

This is probably the best performance of Meat is Murder I've seen him do:

Brilliant.

I'm glad I didn't go. Would have gone insane trying to chose between Radiohead and Morrissey.

Just saw Elbow on BBC3 brilliant as always.

Very good but lackling a little something for me on this occasion, not quite as powerful as they can be, the guitar on Grounds for Divorce for example.

Still pretty fecking class though, big fan.

feck off Mike ;)

 They're alright, but overrated like I said. It was clear for all to see on stage today.

It's kind of too much the opposite of U2. You don't want Bono there in his leather trousers, wrap-around shades and link-up with the International Space Station... but at the same time you don't want a fat bloke with a beard and the crowd chanting for him to down a pint. Somewhere in the middle please.

Given that you're a muso type, didn't you fancy going, Mike?
