Ha ha Levy would never do a Ridsdale.

In fairness we are now a Money macking machine nowadays and even with the loan for the ground we are making millions every year. Income will be along the lines of

Gate Reciepts £110m
CL Prize Money £60m (just for getting out the group)
TV/Media Rights £145m
Commercial Sales £105m

So some £420m and our Wage bill is by far the smallest of the top 6 at about £150m and to that running costs of about £80m and Finance and Debt repayments of £60m still leaves a profit of £130m, Year ending June'18 accounts showed we made a profit of £113m and last years will be in that region if not more with making CL final and getting about £100m from that. Going forward we will have a massive Ground Sponship deal, rumoured to be VISA and income from NFL. NFL will increase massively over the years too as it is expect that the NFL want a London Based Franchise and we are all set up for it and far better so than Wembley.

The Loan on the Ground is about £400m and the deal we have is a 20 year loan with no penalties for paying off early which will happen.

So basically everything is fairly roses and unlike your neighbours we will have no problem with FFP, this is also one reason why watching Arsenal TV is a pleasure as they know it and hate it as they won't be catching us anytime soon. must admit love the way we have done this with no Mega Rich bod just chucking money at us like City and Chelsea, we have earned the right to be were we are not just bought the right.

So Summer Transfer are happening early for us for once as Levy normally shops on the last day of the window, Ndombele was Dembele's replacement, if Eriksen goes or not I think one of Lo Celso or Ceballos (loan with view to buy) will come in to strengthen in Depth and if Eriksen does go then Both. Other will follow and fully expect Sessegnon to be done soon. Trippier will be sold and upgraded, I believe Alderweirld will sign a 2 year extension. I also think one of Dier/Wanyama will be sold probably Wanyama.

Looks a top talent, a player we should be looking at however he isn't British so not the case.

I feel like with both him and Ndombele we'd have two players who love running at opponents but maybe we would be a little unbalanced. I wouldnt worry about that. They are both young and would need to tweak their game a bit, but that shouldnt be a big issue considering your manager and their age/potential. Ndombele will play as a more defensive central midfielder, and Lo Celso as the attacking one. They are exciting players and your midfield would be the second best behind City in the league, and it isnt even close.

Cant say too much about Ndomeble, but Lo Celso is already an exciting and good player and he only had one full season in Europe so far. Imagine him in a few years under Poch and in a settled team, the potential is there to be as good and influential as Eriksen for you, he will only grow. The only thing is he wont be a bargain as Eriksen back in the day. I would take him here without a doubt.
 
I think United and Ole would consider this a risky purchase at present.

I'm guessing United want players with familiarity with the English league,British or otherwise.
 
If Pogba to Madrid is on, surely they wouldn't need Eriksen too? While I would happily move into next season with both GLC and Eriksen I doubt if that's on the cards, especially if we get Ceballos.

Fair, I'm guessing you've seen more of him than I have.

I think Liverpool's midfield is underrated though. Expect Keita to step up next season, Fabinho is a brilliant DM and Wijnaldum/Henderson are both underrated and work well in Klopp's system. The midfield gets a lot of stick for being dull/uncreative, but it provides a fantastic platform for the rest of the team.

Either way I'm just happy we're going out and actually making signings. Even if it doesn't work at least we're showing a bit of ambition to improve.

Like you say, I just can't see that. Would be 110m or so on midfielders minimum without sales, and then surely we need to be looking at someone to bring in to compete with Trippier?

I think Trippier will be gone but yeah we need a RB unless Walker-Peters is going to be given it, please not Auier. Apparently had a bid rejected for Dan Happe but hes only a kid. Still very excited and I do expect more signings, Sessingon brothers seems to be going on quietly in the background and loan to buy for Ceballos. Less than a month for Danny to make it happen.

Yeah, not Aurier. We won't be that stupid, surely? As terrible as Trippier has been this season, Aurier is still a point blank dreadful player and one I'd like moved on from the club ASAP.

For me the priority now should be a new RB because Trippier being woeful last season cost us so often and we simply can't risk that again. Then obviously if we lose Eriksen we need a replacement + probably another midfielder, a Ceballos on loan would cover that.

But I do hope the rb situation doesn't get ignored because I haven't seen many decent links like I have with Ndombele/Lo Celso. Seems we've focused on the midfield situation but for me right back was just as big an issue last season, if not more so.

From what I can gather from the assorted totally believable media outlets its something like this, Eriksen -> RM, Lo Celso -> Spurs replacing Eriksen, Fekir -> Betis replacing Lo Cleso

Well, Real Madrid getting Eriksen would also allow them to sell/loan Ceballos. Tottenham getting Ceballos and Lo Celso next week with Eriksen leaving and Betis replacing him with Fekir makes sense.

The market is heating up.

If the media is to be believed the deal is close to done for Lo Celso. Read he had agreed personal terms and wants the move to Spurs, the clubs need to sort out transfer costs now. Spurs probably waiting until the Eriksen deal finalises before they pull the trigger.

Thats the rumour - what I'm wondering is will we still get Lo Celso if Eriksen signs a new deal - personally I really hope we do as it would significantly strengthen the depth of our squad and also give Eriksen a player pushing him for his position in the team.

Personally, I think there is no chance. You'll be renewing Eriksen on bumper wages if he is renewing. You also have to buy some FBs and Lo Celso is being quouted for 70m euros.

Do you think you'll not buy another RB then? I just find it highly improbable that you'll spend £150m, minimum (that's with a cheap RB included), and sign Eriksen to a bumper wage. I don't think you've ever spent more thant £30m net in a summer, in about 5 years.

I kinda hope that Eriksen stays. Just to see if he does sign a new contract and if so for much. Or if he sees it out.
If I am him and his agent I would be looking at the 400k plus bonuses that Ramsey - who arguably is the inferior player - got 6 months from where Eriksen is now contractually.
Same time I dont see Spurs offering him more or maybe not even on the level of Kane.
Its an interesting cunundrum.

I think they're probably fair and just asking for parity with Kane at Spurs, If they were to leave on a free, they would take the Ramsay wage as a benchmark.
When you think about it, you've got to either spend £62m, just to bring in Lo Celso and then get a decent wage for him on top of that or spend £32M on a new 3 year deal for eriksen at Kane's wages. The only thing that might happen after that is give players like Alli and Son a bit of a gripe.

Maybe. I have difficulties seeing ”fairness” play much of a role in football nowadays. One could of course also ask oneself if its fair for Eriksen to give up that much money as well plus that he might actually want another challenge at his age and this will be his best chance to get it.
I mean he can sign for Spurs next spring or summer just to test the market.
I absolutely think his agent sees it like that.
Maybe no deal is better than a bad deal?

We have sold Trippier, and Rose will probably go, hopefully Nkoudou and Janssen will get a transfer out. Sessingon in and possibly another RB we will have to see how we line up in preseason.

Selling Rose and only bringing in Sessegnon would be a huge error.

Still big questions marks over his level, and even question marks over whether he's even a left back.

I mean, I kind of feel bad saying that because he puts a shift in .. but he's just not a good left back, at all. He's not fast enough and doesn't have nearly enough guile in attacking situations to make up for it.


I'd not even be opposed to moving on both Rose & Davies and bringing in Sessegnon + someone else who can come in and start. Both our left backs are absolutely bang average footballers.

We won't sign Lo Celso if we keep Eriksen. Almost certain of that.

We'll sign a new rb (probably for more than the 20m we get for trippier) and go for someone like Sessegnon, and I expect that will be the end of our business.

Levy isn't suddenly going to completely change the way we operate. We will never go on some huge splurge without some massive outgoings.
 
What is certain is that Lo Celso seems on the move, a club just needs to pay up. He will go to Spurs and Eriksen to Real IMO, since we wont budge on our fee for Pogba. He is the No 1 guy Poch wants to replace Eriksen with.

With a strong DM, they can both play together IMO, but i am not sure Spurs will spend 70m on him when they need other positions to strengthen as well, especially after the arrival of Ndombele.

I dont know. Do you really see Spurs not playing Eriksen if he does not sign when it could mean the difference between top4 or not?
Arsenal kinda tried that with Ramsey (he was injured a bit also) but when push came to shove he played.
