he's hilarious
True. One of those cut your throat with a knife when nobody sees then cry if you push me type. Can't stand guys like that. He's the embodiment of the 'Italian defender' stereotype.
Utter embarrassment.
If VAR was used to cut down on diving and acting it would make the game so much better.
Left footed Puyol type. Epic player
He's a horrible cheat and an embarrassment to the sport. Great defender but it's a shame there's players like him.

This is quite a transition. I always thought he was a Puyol-like character with a strong "no nonsense" attitude. Had in mind he reacted quite well when being bitten by Suarez and handled it without the usual drama, both during and after the match.
But today he was really pathetic. Does he behave like that regularly or was this a one off?
So why wasn’t VAR used there? Clear penalty..
No?? He fully went in & charged him In the box haha
That doesn't make something not a foul though, does it?Not for me, also the ball was long gone. He wouldn't have reached it even if Chiellini wasn't there.

Yea, that's fair enough. I just think if that happens anywhere else on the pitch then a ref gives a foul for it 9 times out of 10.No, that was more of an afterthought. I don't think it was a foul initially, but even if it was it didn't take away a goal scoring chance. Anyway, the VAR panel would have seen it and made the call if it was deemed a foul.
