It's all a bit ridiculous but all I see is that everyone overreacts to anything these days, both players and people posting stuff online.
A terrible actor at that. Can't believe the ref put up with his antics.
With VAR this kind of play acting should be penalized. But I don't understand why uefa or whoever can't retrospectively sanction a player for this type of behavior. Reviewing these plays and awarding a yellow even after the match has ended should be automatic.

I think people get surprised/chocked/disappointed because they see Chiellini as a fair player with a lot of sportsmanship. I think people in general expect more fair play from defenders and especially CBs. But top defenders have been diving like this for years now: Dani Alves, Ramos, Pepe, Thiago Silva , Marquinhos, Jordi Alba, Piquet, ....
