Aye. The United fanbase can't handle a third consecutive year of mass muppet-suicide.
Aye the poor Jewish kid looking out his window

Kuszczak and Brown will leave, some of Gibson, Macheda, Berbatov might be on their way out. I am actually quite convinced Berba is going to leave and he will fetch around £10m. We might well end up with £20m earned there.
i hope the word busy doesn't mean we have a massive clear-out and not many being brought in, that be crazy....
Now that Scholes has retired I can finally see us bringing in a midfielder, unless Cleverley is to be given a chance.

More info RD, tell them who you WANT.
In case you're reading this Fergie/Gill I do not want A. Young. Thanks. )
No backtracking. Money will be spent and more than your projected 20 million net.
I will be disappointed if Fergie isn't given a budget of £80m net spend should he require it considering that we have spent sweet FA recently and sold our best player.

He'll spend what he needs to spend and no more.I will be disappointed if Fergie isn't given a budget of £80m net spend should he require it considering that we have spent sweet FA recently and sold our best player.
Why do some believe Brown will leave? He is a useful squad player, still in good shape.
Yes, remember the OP with quotes from Gill saying we're going to sign players?
Remember when Hughes, Ince and Kanchelskis all left and we signed nobody?

Remember when we had 20 year old Beckham, Scholes and Neville ready to step up?
I remember it well, I remember thinking we will do well to be in top 6 that season, didn't turn out so bad
Yeah but at the time few thought "That's okay, we have a 20 year old Beckham, Scholes and Neville ready to step up?'
A lot of people thought:
'What the feck?'
I have the feeling that if we sign someone this summer, we ll get a surprise press conference and all the signings will be announced together - similar to what happened when Nani and Anderson were signed.
or else..
the usual "no value" statement from Fergie
Fergie gets too much criticism for the 'no value' thing. He was right, largely. We don't know the ins and outs of transfer dealings. I heard stories of players, clubs and agents, ridiculously hyping transfer fee and wage demands because it was Manchester United and they felt that they could 'afford' to pay more. Sir Alex has always said that United have to expect to pay over and above everyone else anyway, simply because people think they can try it on with us, and milk more out of the deal. With City and Madrid spending like mad, I cannot see that helped the situation.
It won't be much different, if at all, this summer, but there's a greater requirement to spend now. Last time the boss was happy with what he had and he won the league and got to the CL final, few could argue with that synopsis. However this year we've had three players retire now and perhaps it'll be time to take a knock on the 'value' front.
But even so it is obscene how people bash Fergie around the head and mock him for the 'value' thing, as he was entirely correct.
