gets me all the time
:lol::lol: brilliant! Why have I never seen that before?? thats why I like Redcafe, after a shit day at work and feeling quite miserable, I open a thread and unexpectedly spend the next couple of minutes pissing myself laughing... with looks of bemusement from the wife!

I honestly didn't see much wrong with it off that. Might have missed something.
Looked like Nani kicked out a bit the little hot head!

Look at it again. It's quite clear that Figueroa tries to get his knee.

Please cam someone GIF the moment the ball hit Eboue and he fell over

You're seeing too much into that.

In my opinion it is nothing. He comes down close to Nani but had he wanted to trod on him he easily could have.

The way I see it, and this is my experience in similar situations playing American football. The faster you get your feet back on the ground when there is a mess of arms and legs flailing about, the less likely you are to stand on someone.

That doesn't make any sense at all. Normal players jump as far away as possible from the player in situations like that, and some even do a roll to make sure they don't stamp on the player. It's hardly a "mess of arms and legs" anyway when it's only one player on the ground. Figueroa knew fully well where Nani was and still decided to put his boot down at a pretty high speed. It doesn't seem like normal movement at all to me - normal movement would be to keep his feet up and land softly-ish. You can even see in the gif, that the way he's putting his foot down makes him lose balance for half a second, so even if he wanted to play on (by getting his feet on the ground, so he could run away) it wouldn't be a natural movement.

I'm not saying that he was definitely trying to stamp Nani on the leg, but you have to admit that his movement looks odd. I can completely understand Nani for flying up like that when you have a pair of metal studs landing that close to you when there was really no need for it.

Great bit of skill there but what the feck was that cross? Plain and simple why some of our attack has looked shit this year. Nani there for the cut back and RvP marked hard in the center of the box.

Baloon it all the way over the back?.. Ok?

Valencia is the most single-footed player i've seen playing for a top team in many a year!

Giggs, Messi and Robben mentioned above, a few others come to mind.

Valencia should be rather easy to defend against (the others above are just so great in many facets) but he is still so good at his trade. There have been numerous occasions I wish he'd have driven into the box versus go straight towards the goal line and send in a cross. Or cut back and use his left even if squaring a short pass to a teammate.

Some more, I can't take credit for any of these by the way, I found them on another United forum.
