Italians for whatever reason, suck ass when they leave their native country to come to the Premier League. 3/4 of them seem to either completely bomb a la Alberto Aquiliani or are a flash in the pan before disappearing into obscurity a la Manolo Gabbiadini.

Interesting move given WH have Antonio who has been brilliant for them. He must be confident of dislodging him.

It's more to do with the fact that Italian talent has dried up when the game has gotten more global and connected. Timing.

Can't help but feel this is a bad move for the likes of him. These mid-level British clubs are way to wealthy to be good stepping stone clubs and if you have a long contract with them, they can look for prohibitive fees when players are good enough for the bigger clubs to come calling. We've seen it with Zaha and Rice in recent years.

An Italian striker moving to an English club..... what could possibly go wrong???

There are always 10 duds for every Zola or DiCanio

In terms if forwards/strikers, in the last few years, I count Gabbiadini, Cutrone, Kean, Borini, Okaka, Osvaldo, Paloschi, Diamanti, Giacherrini and Balotelli.

So, maybe he is number 11. He might just be good then.

The ones who move to London tend to do better and find it easier to acclimatise.

Antonio can play off the striker too and they desperately needed an alternative as Antonio struggles a lot with hamstring injuries. He's like a Giggs before yoga:

Anyhow, I think Scamacca will have fun in the Premier League. Outstanding piece of business.

I rate him and am a bit surprised nobody bigger came in for him. I think he’ll do well in the PL.

None of them really embraced their move, to be fair… Gabbiadini and Borini the only exception, maybe.
