If Ronaldo is leaving this guy might be a prudent investment but...he just doesnt strike me as a Man Utd player in the clips I've seen for some reason....

He strikes me more as a Man Utd player than Kalajdzic, the only striker we've been linked to by the media lately.

To put it in context, stylistically Scamacca is more Vardy and Kalajdzic is more Arnautovic. In terms of quality Scamacca has proved more but still has a long way to go for me and perhaps wouldn't be my choice.

I signed him on FM, had to give him a 35% sell on for him to agree to a reasonable wage. Sold to Real 3 years later. Avoid :nono:

Osimhen is.
Absolutely best option for us - young, quick, prolific, aggresssive.
What more can se ask for?

I actually think he's a good player but would take a fee far greater than Haaland and he does not justify it.

Back on track, it depends how he comes but Scamacca as a rotation option I wouldn't turn down especially as our reserves/ younger XI don't have anyone at that stage of being ready, Greenwood is the big shame here as this could have been so good for him.

50 million euros is not that bad if this guy is what he's made out to be. There aren't many strikers on the market so there's always going to be a premium attached and generally forwards cost. We're going to be paying about that for a centre half from Ajax so I think if 50 million is structured favourably it's not silly money. Obviously he'd have to turn out decent to justify it.

But he's pretty useless and has never proven himself as a goalscorer. It would be a big risk.
It's a risk but only two seasons ago he got 23 goal contributions which would be fine for us in a rebuilding year and this year's crop of available forwards is underwhelming. Osimhen, who is exceptionally raw and has loads of flaws is being touted for north of £80mn which seems ludicrous for someone who has never come near 20 league goals in a season.

Martial received the player of the match in our win over Liverpool (yes, yes, yes I know it was just a friendly) and his main problem has been his off ball movement and positioning in the box and EtH is the king of off the ball movement coaching so he could actually do a job until the next gold star centre forward prospect comes through.

It would be ridiculous. ETH can improve him slightly but nowhere near enough to be our striker all season.

If Ronaldo leaves I’ve seen nothing from Martial over the last few years that’d show he’s good enough to be the main man on a consistent basis. Plus he’s getting more injury prone as he ages.
No doubting he’s had a few off seasons. But who hasn’t? The coaching for the last 2 years has been non existent. I suspect we will see an improved martial this year. I hope so because he has important skills in his toolbox that other strikers don’t have such as holding the ball up front

Someone wasn't watching on Tuesday! I reckon Monaco are already spending their Balon D'Or money after that performance. The kid is back!

I’d rather sign the player West Ham originally went for before he turned them down - Danjuma. Dutch too.

Moyes veteod him. Doubts about his attitude, doesn't put the yards in without the ball.

We're after a big, mobile target man (Scamacca, Broja, En-Nesyri etc) and will add a quick AM.

To be fair he went on loan last season and was fecking shite over there as well. Bad coaching alone from United isn’t really strong argument for him.

So 1 pre match game is a consistent basis now? We'd best cancel the Pereira deal if so...

Just checked this lad out…he looks quality to me, really skilful on the ball and obviously is huge. I think he’d be a nice option to have if I don’t get my number 1 fan girl target of Gouri.

Come at me with the hate but the first thought I had seeing his size and skill was Zlatan lol…not saying he’s on that level but that’s who came to mind.

Reports around a £30m fee agreed with West ham. Sounds like good business. Think they'll recoup their money and then some in a few years if he adapts to the pace of our league.

First Juve, then heavy links with Inter and then PSG. Ends up at fecking West Ham and David Moyes.

Edit: meant as a pm

I know highlights videos are sus but his looks soooo good plus he’s huge. I reckon for that price we should have taken a punt - we need a striker/forward for sure.

Reckon he'll be a massive flop like a lot of their big money signings. Haller, Felipe Anderson, Vlasic comes to mind.

He's a weird one, looks clumsy running with the ball which is the complete opposite to Antonio.

But he does have going for him
- Good finish with both feet and head
- Good first time flick ons
- Big

I think Broja would've been a better fit to replace Antonio, he's much better on the ball than Scammaca. But if they're looking for more of a finisher he could be what they need.

The jump from Seria A striker to premiership striker is a big one. You dont have to be as quick or have a good touch in Seria A then you do in the Premiership . Hence why some like Lukaku Giroud do well over there. I think Scammaca will flop and hard. Its a typical David Moyes signing. Big lump up front

Yeah strange decision giving West Ham free run
Why is it a strange decision? Because we need a forward doesn’t mean we just go buy anyone. Chelsea, Bayern, Atletico, United, Dortmund(with the Haller news) all need strikers yet none has been linked with him? I wonder why. Because he’s not that good.

No wonder only West Ham is his best destination.

He is not the finished article yet and a move to West Ham would surely help him develop further… provided he survives the PL. He has a decent mental toughness for being Italian, coming from a challenging environment.

Can't help feel its a bad move for him. If he's genuinely good, he'll find himself stuck at West Ham with a Declan Rice style price tag on his head preventing a big move to a higher level club.
