Gary Neville

He is just cnut. Although Rashford indeed should take the pen, but it was just unlucky for Pogba to miss the pen and credit to wolves GK, great save.
He said something's not right, yes, it's Glazers and Ed, fecking asshol*s and he doesnt even dare to talk about them. Just shut up, gary!

Don't watch the sky analysis that much. Is it always this bad? Where's the actual analysis?

They're just there hoping Rashford hangs Pogba in his interview. What is this?

Why would you need analysis when you can push an agenda over a missed penalty?

Pathetic from Sky.

Don’t understand the hate towards him. He’s one of us, loves the club. Talks a lot of sense. He’s over critical half the time but aren’t we all when you get hacked off when we screw up chances to win games

I don't think he did it directly. You can be sure if that was any other manager, Neville would have been more direct.

I felt the same thing. This is such an easy situation for OGS to deal with anyway.

Maybe so but it was still called out. They rarely overly criticise managers on the show especially ones that are still quite inexperienced at that level. If people don't like him fair enough but I think some are finding stiff to slate him for that isn't a huge deal.

Whilst they obviously have input in what is spoken about Sky know the stuff that causes debate and encourage it to.

He's currently saying Pogba is United's best player for example and has said it in the past as well but you'd think he never praises him the way people are making out

He started of his rant saying "typical Pogba, so seflish". While I agree that we should have one penalty taker but he just came out angry for no reason. It was also said by Rashford last week that there isn't one designated penalty taker.

He's as angry as the fans are, we just dropped 2 points and it was unnecessary and did seem like the sort of thing Pogba would do. He always puts himself first, not the team (thought he played well tonight to be fair), at least he's dropped the ridiculous run-up but he should never take a penalty again.

Someone should give Gary a chill pill

You know it's quite ironic how as a United past player who loves the club, he doesn't help the team's cause much with his tendency to stir up shit and start drama. I mean there he is trying to start nonsense over a missed penalty.

This guy is supposed to help us not pile on and start drama out of thin air.

What a load of nonsense and I can't be bothered getting into it because it's clear to everybody on this forum that you have some weird agenda against them. Gary Neville was one of the best right backs around in his day and he was part of some the greatest sides we've seen at United. That's all that has to be said.

He was a decent defender with a good cross. Nothing more. You're making him sound as if he was Zanetti. The fullback role has been the cinderella role of EPL football for most of the Neville's careers. Which explains why a train wreck like Phil got so many caps with England. As Carra once said no one want to be a Gary Neville. That pretty summarise up what EPL defenders of that generation thought of fullbacks

Sky coverage is abysmal tonight, Nev in particular. He's shrieking it's all a shambles over a missed pen that was in reality just a pretty great save. Completely ignoring the positives or negatives for both teams and opting to rant. He's acting like a full grown bitch the way he fumes about Pogba.

He did start trashing him though. A man in his situation and of his experience shouldn't react like a typical caftard

I don't see the problem with him. I agree with most of what he says.

Exactly he's just knee jerking like all the other United fans, unfortunately he's just on live TV.

Once again, the situation was explained by the very player they're claiming had a penalty ripped away from him by a selfish, treasonous team mate tonight.

If Neville's pre-match research before he does his punditry doesn't even stretch to watching his own employer's interviews with the players, well...

Did he really used the word treachery? In that case little Ole should really rip him a new one

Did he even mentioned jlingz?

Absurd overreaction; makes me long for the days where I was begging for ex-United players In punditry to balance-out the Liverpool love

Ole needs to nip this bud and put Neville in his place. The outrage is pathetic.

It’s the fact that he has a massively obvious agenda, he constantly goes after the foreign players and says nothing about the likes of Lingard stinking it the place game after game. The bile spewed towards Pogba in the press is sickening and Neville only adds fuel to the fire. Add that to the fact that his judgement seems to be clouded by his monetary ambitions and it’s easy to see why he’s so disliked these days.

This guy is such an ABU prick. All this ‘the only reason I’m holding back on Pogba’ and ‘typical selfish Pogba’. He clearly has no idea who our designated penalty taker. We’re all pissed we missed, but no need to turn it into some Pogba-bashing.

ABU?
Gary Neville, ex United legendary right back?

If we score the penalty, the narrative guaranteed does not turn into 'how lucky United are that they have 2 penalty takers'.

Sky's coverage and analysis has been shite. Full of hyperbole and speculation, 'Daniel James looks like the only one who is a leader' based on the fact he spoke to Rashford ffs

Penalty save wasn’t anything special.. it was in the perfect spot for a gk to save it. Waist/chest height and slightly to the keepers right is the exact spot where most goalkeepers will dive against a right-footed penalty taker if they’re playing percentages. Along the ground or in to the roof is much harder to stop. Not an awful penalty by any means, but any goalkeeper who guesses the right way is probably going to stop that.

As for Neville, he’s a knob. But sky definitely have fed him that bs non-story imo.

Who cares what this clown has to say, he'll change his opinion in few months.

As he does.

Because he has a clear agenda. Was it childish for Rashford to take the pen last week? He wasn't our designated penalty taker last season, as bad as Pogba was. Could it not have been Martial to take the pen? Rashford took it because he won the pen. That's the system in play.

He's creating drama out of nothing.

Ole needs to nip this bud and put Neville in his place. The outrage is pathetic.

Ole needs to show some strength and tell Pogba he's never going near a penalty again. The outrage is deserved, the confusion is something you don't even see at amateur level.

Sky Sports/Football media in general is car-crash viewing for simple minded plebs. If no-one lapped it up, they would be forced to do some actual analysis wouldn't they?

Not sure what you mean by his monetary ambitions? Hes got plenty of cash these days I think. He’s also paid to give his honest opinion, he’s clearly very passionate and cares about us. He’s got to try and be neutral but got to be hard in his position. As for his views on pogba, don’t forget gary actually knows him and will have a pre determined view of him from previous dealings with him. He knows far more about him than we do and what goes on. To be honest when u see sloppy performances like that from a deviaive player who apparently doesn’t want to be here don’t think you can blame Neville for going off on one about him in the heat of the moment

What I absolutely hate about him is how he seems totally incapable of putting a lid on his emotions. And has no qualms getting personal either. Labelling this idiocy as passion is really just enabling him. Let grown men be held to grown men standards

Wonder if Neville will mention James’ dive in the first half? Given he was harping on about how we’ve finally brought in likeable (British) players the other day, I wonder if he’ll turn on James, or can he only spot treachery when it’s commuted by Johnny Foreigner? Prick.

Wonder what kind of contract he has with Sky, because it seems he cant or wont be biased like others there.
