Gary Neville

Antony retains possession with some great skill.

Neville jokes about snapping (him?).
Really weird commentary today. Almost felt like he wanted Fred to get the second yellow too

Why does he try to ruin this lovely moment? Are the controversy and clicks worth coming across as a complete idiot?
Looks off but we’ve been wrong as of late.

So don’t guess, Gary? Not only that but it looked well on as well so the rule seem to be if it’s really close at an angle it’s well on when straight on.
You’d think he’d have cottoned on by now

Never understood any praise for him as a pundit.

Even when he's right, it's about the most obvious things ever.

One of Neville’s friends should have a word with him. He’s gone too far the other way when commentating, no matter what he thinks or does in private.
ABUs seize on anything he says to use it as ‘Evidence’.
Contrast him with Carragher whenever he’s on Liverpool commentary and it’s the polar opposite.

I honestly prefer Keown on commentary for our games over this insufferable twat.

I like him but he should not be involved in ManUtd games. He seems to think that he needs to be a lad from The Kop so people don’t think he is biased.

You little danceeerrrr

Basically wants Antony's legs broken for 'showboating'. Utter bellend.
Ridiculous thing about that is that he was running the clock down like he should be at 2-0 in stoppage time. How dare he do that with skill and talent rather than faking an injury or other “dark arts” that English commentators are suddenly applauding when it’s done by English teams.

I have more respect for Carragher, he's a Liverpool legend and fan. He's proud of it and doesn't try to hide it in the slightest.

Neville is a fecking sell out.

He beat him once..What about the two Newcastle players in front of him Gary? Can he just run forward in a straight line after beating a player?

Carragher is so much better than Neville nowadays

Bruno complained and whinged for a corner.
All he did was raise his arm and claim a corner like everyone else

I prefer him as a pundit than commentator. He really likes to believe our goals should be chalked off for offside then goes oh when it's not

Still talking about Newcastle the fecking cnut wanted them to win didn’t he

People still listen to this idiot after his Valencia stint?

Now I don't hate Neville but this sentiment here is right. He lost his credibility to me when he massively failed at Valencia and then decided not to take another managerial job.

He didn't really. He tried something, it didn't work out for him, so what? He takes some level of courage to put yourself out there and in a position where you can badly fail, and while he certainly lacked self-awareness, he still did give it a shot. Loads of managers fail, and loads of pundits don't even try the managerial route. If we should only be listening to managers who have been successful, we'd basically be watching Mourinho as a pundit in his echo chamber. Which, in fairness, sounds super entertaining.

Neville still did some good work after the Valencia stint, and he does have something to bring to the table, but he is all over the place in terms of his morals and beliefs at this point, I'm not even sure he knows which alternate reality narrative he is driving on any given day of the week.
