Gary Neville

He might be trolling for laughs. Lord knows our fanbase isn't exactly a bastion of sanity and rational thought these days. In his position I could see myself saying eff it and just spouting nonsense for laughs.

He defo trolling the base, he like most sane United fans these days, they literally hate the online fanbase

Gary Neville isn’t trolling. He’s just not a very good pundit

He's not trolling he's just speaking through his arse.

These clowns are one the main reasons United is where it is right now. They clearly have a huge influence over united board and it’s decision making.

Every time I see a reply from that mike bellend and his sarky smug "hope that helps" i want to stick burning cactus up his arse and hit him in the face with a car over and over and over.
Oh, that guy is a complete bellend.

i find the hate he gets strange, he's just a frustrated fan, whether he has a different opinion on who/ what united should be doing to you doesn't make him a cnut or a bellend.

enjoy watching him and carragher

A therapist should register here. It's a goldmine!

He gets paid to air his views. He airs them. He gets paid.

It's not that complicated.

As far as social media goes: Everyone has an opinion about absolutely everything, it's always been that way, but now everyone has a way of expressing it so that everyone can read it. And because everyone can read everybody's opinion, and everybody is able to reply to everybody's opinion, everybody who expresses their opinion has a way of judging everybody who has simply just expressed their opinion.

Social media is slowly driving society mad.

It's just a little odd how he watches Liverpool and City every week, literally purrs about them on live tv every game he commentates - then asks us to stick to 4-4-2 with wingers like it's the 90s.

He obviously speaks with good intentions as he wants us to get back to the top - but he's a bit stuck in the past.

It doesn't help that Carragher is making him look like a mug on a weekly basis these days. Poor Gary.

Never meet your idols they say... And also never watch them become pundits of the game they excelled at.

Nev is so agenda-driven it's off the charts (his 'always back the manager' is one of the dumbest footy related things I can think of).
Scholesy's opinions are as refreshing as your average armchair fan (United should sign Kroos, how outrageous).
Keane while being funny at times has no real insight other than talking about effort being put etc...

It could be that they were all very very talented at football in an instinctive kind of way, and they can't convey their abilities to simple constructs that us mere fans can benefit from. Nev at the beginning of his career, Carragher nowadays, Darren Fletcher maybe.... To hear pundits add anything that you can't see and analyze with your own eyes in front of the telly has become such a rarity.

Maybe some of our current lot will turn out to be brilliant pundits, seeing as they're so shite as players.

Yeah he is really irritating.

When United got a good result against one of the big boys by sitting back and playing on the counter, Neville never seemed to mind. Conte does it and it's proof he's not right for United.

He'll always be a playing legend to me. But, as each day passes and the more he opens his mouth about the club, the more I really loathe him. He is nothing but, a disgruntled supporter trying to play pundit. I think his rants are a big part of the toxicity that runs through the club and fan base. He needs to keep my damn club's name out of his mouth and stick to every other club.

The full interview with Pique is very good, Pique comes across very well I think. Found it funny how Neville was basically trying to get tips on how to run a business and get his foot into the door of massive things. But do wish they spent more time discussing his time at United and Barcelona.

Surprised Pique was so close to Fergie - pleasantly surprised

More than happy for the club he professes to love having some clearly failing manager stay in charge, but gets rid of managers quick smart when his own coin is involved.

Have to laugh.

It's funny how things go though isn't it.

We all hated Carragher when he played. An absolute living personification of a rabid scouser supreme.
Now he always seems to be the one chatting sense while our G Nev does all sorts of infuriating stuff.

Remember him fawning over Lukaku after a couple of tap ins early season? Then late season, "oooh yeah he's not had the strongest of seasons".
