He didn’t say it, your version is the correct versionWhen did he say that? I thought he said Brady should be of and dyche will be happy it got pulled back for a foul

He did say that also to be fair.
Did he say "get" or "touch"?
I thought he said he doesn't get the ball... Which he might have meant to mean he doesn't win the ball, which you can argue he doesn't.
Either way, feels a bit weird to be upset /angry with someone because they incorrectly said someone didn't touch a ball.
All I picked up on was he didn't touch the ball, must have missed that bitHe did say that also to be fair.
certainly not at the time. He watched the replay a dozen times (my estimate), and every time he said he didn’t get the ball. If he just criticised the follow through, then fair enough. But I can’t fathom why he could see that Shaw got the ball.

was beginning to doubt myself, especially with the quotation marksHe didn’t say it, your version is the correct version
I actually thought shaw was lucky, even though he touched the ball.He kept on saying the follow though with the studs and how he caught him.
The funny thing on this is you can argue that Shaw touching the ball is immaterial to the actual decision.

Sadly I think you need to catch up to the 21st century buddy, it’s definitely a yellow, would of been furious if it was a red but seen them givenHe was talking through his arse tonight on Sky. Luke Shaw clearly got the ball first, so never a foul, let alone a yellow card and definitely not a red card that the VAR review check was for.
Not only did he not spot Shaw making contact with the ball but he then made a bigger deal about the follow through. He was fecking useless tonight. It was absolutely hilarious. I love him and have even defended him in this thread but it was clear on the first look itself that Shaw got the ball . You can argue that it was still a bad challenge but the fact that he kept saying again & again that he doesn't get the ball was truly one of the most incredible things I have ever seen
He initially said Brady was a yellow at best. Then back tracked after a number of replays. I mean how he could even have come to that conclusion originally was baffling. When did he say that? I thought he said Brady should be of and dyche will be happy it got pulled back for a foul
Whoops, my bad. Carry on.The conversation was about the Shaw tackle.
Brady was most likely going to be a red for sure.
The follow through was what got him booked so he was right ?Not only did he not spot Shaw making contact with the ball but he then made a bigger deal about the follow through. He was fecking useless tonight.
His exact words were:He initially said Brady was a yellow at best. Then back tracked after a number of replays. I mean how he could even have come to that conclusion originally was baffling.
Knew itNo la.
Fuchen hellKnew it
Of course he’ll be happy we are top of the league by 3pts ? Should he be sad ?
He kept repeating that Shaw hadn't made contact with the ball - he had - and that he'd raised his foot unnaturally - he hadn't. So no, he wasn't even close to being right. The follow through was what got him booked so he was right ?
I agree it’s actually quite clearly a conflict of interest and clouds his quality as a commentator .He didn't see Shaw touch the ball and thought he was going to be sent off. Didn't believe Brady should have been dismissed. He thought Bailly was going to be in trouble for throwing someone to the ground in a nothing incident. Felt that Maguire was going to give a penalty away for handball.
His love for us clouds his judgement. It's ok for me to say nonsensical things in the heat of the moment, but it isn't for him. Not his fault as emotion does that to you, however it comprimises the quality of his work and he therefore shouldn't commentate on our games.
haha, when you put it that way hard to argue. I saw it from a United viewpoint as “yellow at best” meaning yellow at best for us. Had he not subsequently rambled incorrectly on about Shaws tackle I might have processed it better. His exact words were:
"He'll be booked at best. Harry Maguire wants a red."
The problem is that you hear the words "at best" with a United bias and think that means "at worst".
He actually said both managers will be happy with that decision for Shaw / Brady incident .The fact he described Brady’s challenge as “yellow at best” and didn’t seem to take any issue with Maguires disallowed goal. It says it all really.
Tyler has been stale for years .I don't like his commentary but he very obviously still loves United, I think they could do with partnering him with someone else to be honest, him and Tyler are very stale.
He definitely does this. Even when be picks Pogba as his "player to watch" becuase he wants to see the Paul Pogba we know, it's clearly becuase he otherwise comes across as extremely bitter towards the player and is trying to show his balance, if anything.Trying to look unbiased but ends up looking like a moron.
Totally agree. It was Bizarre, he almost intentionally wanted to push that it was a potential red card and kept saying he missed the ball - wtf??Infuriated me with the Shaw incident as others have said. The fact he saw multiple replays and still claimed Shaw hadn't touched the ball was bizarre. Never liked him as a co-commentator but hate him on United matches especially.
He gives as non biased as possible, and sometimes he might be overly critical but Christ he’s a fan and utd legend.
