VAR obviously thought it could have been a red card. Neville was right discuss the possibility that it could be given. Clinton Morrison and Jamie Redknapp both said the same thing at half time.

That was the single WORST commentary of his career in my opinion.
He literally got everything wrong, I was more wound up by Gary than I was our poor performance in the first half.

Shaw won the ball but Neville didn't even see it, despite watching the tackle at least 5 times. It was flat out bizarre how he repeatedly failed to see a blatant toe on the ball before Shaw's inevitable follow through.
Well fair play to him for acknowledging it. No-ones accusing him of being Clive Tydlesley bias or even Paddy Crerand bias towards Utd on commentary, so he shouldn’t feel he has to unfairly beat Utd to appease the neutrals.

Is there one pundit who was once a top player for one club over several years who doesnt want to see his former team do well? Neville is a United legend and loves the Club; it hurts him to see United struggle and he is desperate for us to do well. Is that so wrong?

It was absolutely hilarious. I love him and have even defended him in this thread but it was clear on the first look itself that Shaw got the ball . You can argue that it was still a bad challenge but the fact that he kept saying again & again that he doesn't get the ball was truly one of the most incredible things I have ever seen

Yea it was clear he missed him getting the ball. If he was saying it could be a red because of the follow through that would have been fine, but he missed the obvious touch on the ball

I thought he said he doesn't get the ball... Which he might have meant to mean he doesn't win the ball, which you can argue he doesn't.
Either way, feels a bit weird to be upset /angry with someone because they incorrectly said someone didn't touch a ball.
