It would require some extra defensive work from Herrera, but what it could do while attacking would be something else, although I'd say counter attack would suit that set up more than the heavily possession based tactics.

I would feel slightly sorry of Fellaini being dropped from the team, but honestly, is in there for his height, and for an option to cross into the box, or aim for as a more direct route. The thing is, Bale and Depay bring goals, whereas young and Mata fetch a more creative side to the attack, so the height that Fellaini would bring would not be as needed as it has shown lately

I think that would work and even moreso if we had a more defensive CM instead of Herrera with Ander coming into Di Maria's position the odd time.

LVG said he had to move because PSG were circling. Richardson told us Liverpool were beating us in a race that we'd actually not joined at that point and Liverpool weren't winning anyway.
 
Not sure whether to believe this or not because Ogden seems to be having his say on it and he's a WUM.
 
Is he always this lazy? Madrid are on the counter and even Isco is getting into the box ahead of him.

Liverpool had him over to meet the club and were under the impression he was joining them. Very fair to say they were leading the race at one point.

Even if we accept that as true, I'm not sure how they can 'leapfrog' us when we'd not even joined in yet.

Anyway, it's not really worth debating, I think the hacks are guessing and others don't.

Still feel like we always basically had it done, just not on paper and all that. We wanted to be informed in case anything happened so I don't think it was ever really in doubt.
 
If they believed in their sources then it would paper not on MUTV.
 
If Madrid do go out tonight they'll be an inevitable scapegoat (as well as Ancelotti). Bale will be high on the list of possibles.
 
Gareth Bale is a world class player just short of confidence. Very much like Angel di Maria. These players need encouragement, not hassle.

I think if we offer 60m+, they'll sell him. Fans don't like him and I'm sure they're realising that they were fecked in the original transfer anyways.

Hope we don't bid anything stupid though, we don't need him really.
