:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I think that picture says more than a thousand words about recent episodes. Often it's not even the broader direction they take the story (like having Varys turn on Dany first and getting executed for treason) which is the problem, but the fundamental dumbness to the writing.

Jon has to be one of the dumbest main characters of all time. Every move he makes always ends up as the wrong one, he really is captain stupid.

My favourite Jon Snow moment was when he took a suicide squad with him beyond the wall because he wanted to prove to Cersei that the threat from the dead was real. What a guy.

Did anyone else think Arya got too much screen time? I'm sick of the sight of her, she's not even that interesting.

On the plus side, onion man has made it to the last episode. You wouldn't catch him burning people alive.

And where the hell is Bran, he was built up as some sort of over powered character but has done feck all.

No matter the outcome I want an alternative ending of Tyrion being awakened by his father from a drunken coma with a whore in his bed, empty chalices around, and having dreamt the entire thing.

Saw someone say that Davos in her place during the escape would've been carried much more weight. He grew up in King's Landing, he'd be seeing more children being burned to death. It would've crushed him and sad Davos would've crushed all of us...

He threw in an odd one out in his leak so no one would become suspicious.
There are lots of r/freefolk posters in here, it's a sub for leaks as well as memes so it's safe to assume we'll have a few more "timeline" feckers over the course of the next week.

Fecking hell y'all don't half like a moan! Thought it was good. Not upset with anything I've seen this season tbf....

Went from liking Dany to thinking she is a right fecking cnut. Anyhow, my main bone of contention was how fecking easy it was to destroy the entire iron fleet in a matter of minutes when a few days before it literally battered the dragons to death under a siege of flying spears, yet this time the ships just sat there and literally fired two, maybe three of them. What happened to tons of them raining down?

Apart from that, the rest was pretty awesome.

Wasn't he jailed by Stannis at one point? How did he manage to get out again?

He was freed after he promised not to attack Melisandre again. Then he freed Gendry and was about to be executed before he brought up the WWs issue and Mel said he was needed.

Or the iron fleet not having the fecking scorpions ready like seriously you guys have one job.

Aye, all the scorpions instantly became absolutely useless. They forced the dragon to back off literally last episode after slaughtering another one of them.

This episode the dragon was just flying through scorpions like they were nothing .. which makes sense, hitting a flying, shooting target would be nigh on impossible.

But like, make your minds up showmakers. Don't so blatantly change shit based on plot convenience. If it was that easy to take out the fleet, Dany would have done it immediately after last episode and prevented the destruction of her own fleet and Missandei's death.

Super duper lazy plot convenience. The writers needed a dragon to die last episode, they didn't this one. That's the only way that you can actually rationalise it.

Yup, last episode Dany was flying about without a care in the world which led to her losing a dragon. This episode euron decided to do the same. It's like the writers keep forgetting they are supposed to be at war.

Also why did Daenerys go mental and start killing innocents rather than go directly towards the red keep. When you are angry at somebody you dont take detours to punch people in the face.

I assume we are meant to think the combination of ambush and Dany being protective of Drogon is the difference between fecking Euron's attack in episode 4 and episode 5. Dany expected and compensated for the scorpions is, I guess, the thinking.

We had a scene where after they saw the dragon they put the bolt in the scorpion which is the dumbest thing ever. In total the whole iron fleet fired what, one arrow? After raining tens last episode.

Ambush? They were preparing for a siege. They know she has a dragon which could attack anywhere, there's zero excuse for all those ships not being manned and ready the entire time.

The iron fleet just got a massive nerf. Had they been ready and had the reload power/numbers they did in the original attack, the dragon dies as soon as it gets near.

Also she flew from out of the sun which made her more difficult to see I think?

But in reality it was a case of the writers needing a dragon to die in the last episode but also needing Dany to win in this episode, so logic gets twisted to fit what they want.

I enjoyed the narrative. Dany had to go full on mental it was the whole destiny.

It's really weird.

I totally buy Daenerys being angry enough to burn the red keep down and slaughter Lannister soldiers.

I don't buy her losing her marbles to the extent that she's actively attempting to slaughter innocent people across the city, like actively targeting running crowds of people who were just taking shelter in the city. It serves no purpose and would have made far more sense if she destroyed the gates to allow the army in, then burned the red keep to a crisp .. which lead to the fire spreading and killing civilians.

Having her seemingly just decide she wanted to kill a bunch of women & kids was over the top.

So the true lesson is that books should never be adapted to film and people who lack the mental capacity to read books should only watch film. GOT is only saved by the fact that the Hobbit and LOTR were ruined a lot more than it was.

Future obvious spoilers: Jon kills Dany, ban me but it's obvious to anyone with a piece of a brain left.

Edit: what a piece of shit this show has managed to become. I assume at some stage the Glaziers took it over.

Knowing this series Jon will probably go to her and be like you are still my queen while a dying Tyrion challenges him to a duel before arya kills drogon and Daenerys is killed by the onion smuggler.

Exactly, just have her target the red keep and you have the exact same scenes with people running/dying.

I also like how Tyrion I killed my father and would have poisoned my nephew and sister Lannister is suddenly a family man.
