Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

I might watch the whole episode again tonight. I missed the first half on HBO and watched the 2nd, then half past after the end watched the first half on HBO 2.

He's the worst military commander ever.

In the Battle of the Bastards he charged head on because he got overly emotional, playing right in to Ramsay's hands and getting his army slaughtered. In this one he allowed the dothraki cavalry (a large bulk of their forces?) to be annihilated in about 10 seconds because they charged with zero support, and then spent the rest of the episode trying (and failing) to be a hero.

He doesn't command, he's just a great warrior. People keep talking about him as a King or a leader when really he's just very good with a sword and a honourable bloke. He's led two battles and his army has been destroyed in both, and he's only 'won' because Sansa and Arya came up with the clutch.

The Dothraki should have been forced to fight on foot and clearly instructed that cavalry charges will not be effective against this kind of enemy, Jon should have known that. That would have been 40 thousand more men (some of the finest warriors they have to boot) holding the line rather than thrown away at the start.

I hope someone calls him out for all of it. Doubt it though.
There were actually 100 thousand Dothraki, which makes it even more of a catastrophically terrible move.

I kind of wish she'd done something with the faces thing... like she was pretending to be a white walker and then snuck up on the NK. That would have been a lot more interesting.

WWs shatter on death.

But yeah I get what you are saying. Still, it was an epic ninja moment from a strong character arc, so I'm happy with it overall :)

there a glimpse of him in the trailer. Also how stupid was to send him with Dothraki, it seems Jon doesn't value him much.

He seems to have been neglected for most of the last couple of seasons and only showed up last episode again I think and now got killed off-screen? What the feck did they even bring him back? I loved the episode, although it was too dark and I could barely see shit for the majority of the episode, but Ghost being unceremoniously dumped like that really rustled my jimmies.

Yeah, duh

I personally prefer to watch it as it's meant to be. I'll do the brightness on second viewing. However, those who watched it first time and didn't think it was dark have their screens set up wrong and need to test their eyes
Yea i watched it a second time and turned it up full

One of the worst choices of the show; Ghost should be as close and important to Jon as the dragons are to Dany.

Unless Ghost had been fitted with valerian teeth he was wasted wherever. Why he wasn't told to stick with Sansa in the crypts I have no idea.

And why does he look like a normal dog, when Nymeria actually looked like a big fecking wolf?

To be honest it doesn't really matter, they are clearly just shoehorning him in. At least we know he's still about I guess!

You know what they should do, select some of the main characters and release all of their scenes in episodic form, one episode per season making 8 episodes. That way we could see their full development without having to watch everything.

I don't watch trailers - but that's good, I think it would be a bit shit if the entirety of Danerys army(s) are dead.
Can't say for certain as just saw it on my phone, but they looked far too organised and well armoured to be anyone else.

From making a light-hearted posts about brown people? Nah, it's all I've got to be honest.

Dude I've got a lot of time for you, you know that, but yours are literally the only comments I've seen on forums or even fecking twitter about it. You've even got involved in a little feminism in here.

The Unsullied and Arya were the heroes, the dothraki went at it hard style. Sure shit is bad in the world, but I really don't think GoT is the hill to die on. In fact it showed that everyone lined up and fought side by side. That is a better message than any for me.

Sorry mate, I genuinely don't know what you're talking about? Apologies if I've annoyed you in anyway, I just wanted to post a random thought that came into my head.

Here's another one - the Lord of Light is clearly the best lord... i've said it before, but yeah, he's the only Lord that be getting shit done.

Nice try, but you really should know better than that.

You do you, peace out.
