Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

If anyone answers it had better be in VERY well labelled spoiler tags. It would be better if it weren't talked about at all.

I am now 95% sure I have guessed which main character will die. Well maybe 80%. Actually 50/50 but I think it is a good guess.
The huge debt the Lanisters owe to the Iron Bank had been mentioned last season when Tyrion was Master of Coin (part of Baylish's plan to rule?) and it had been mentioned this season as well. Plus the Iron Bank have now funded Stannis as a backup plan. So we are surely heading for a non-repayment crisis at House Lanister. So I think Tywin will die somehow and Jamie and Tyrion will live which will fit with other plot lines as his death will trigger a crisis that Jamie or Tyrion's death wouldn't.

John Snow may die but if he doesn't (which is my guess) others in the North will.

Typo/name corrected.

How? Asking the question isn't a spoiler, answering it obviously would be though.
It is something someone might carelessly give an answer to, as it is not technically out of the plot of the show but equally harmful. I'm not saying someone answering that won't be guilty but why would anyone ask such a stupid question, that too about a character whose life and death are in question with two episodes to go.

Have to agree, was a crazy thing to say - a characters life hangs in the balance (a hugely popular one at that) and somebody says something about the contract status of the actor that plays him. Bit daft really.

Surely that is the sort of thing that should just be outright banned. Might as well go look up the books on Wikipedia if they're gonna go that route.

I might adjust the spoiler rules if they don't cover it already. Which they might.

Lets assume they are banned and I'll have a permaban waiting for the first person to screw up.

Casting news for future episodes or series is now banned. Spoiler policy updated.

Speaking of Dinklage, am I being an idiot who thinks TV shows are real when I say he still sounds more British than American in interviews?

It's what I've been saying for days. It's like his character has wound down and really has nowhere to go now.

What do you mean by wound down? He still controls almost everything that happens in King's Landing.

Lately is seems as if he's just there rather than a central figure, plus where does his story go? I'm probably wrong, but I've just got that feeling.

He hasn't ever really been one of the more central figures IMO. Most of the time he's just involved in the story of one of his children or another character, there's never really been a big plot about him. That's how I saw it anyway. I could see him dying, I hope not though as I like the character. Although he does lose out if it's a choice between him and Tyrion :D

The way this fecking show goes it's probably neither or both

I've put your discussion in spoiler tags because even such oblique references to what has been said in spoiler tags may give people info they don't want. Hope that is ok?

You're a shivering paranoid shell of the man that was once Wibble

I like this thread, as it is the one corner of the internet that I feel i can safely come for GoT speculation and banter without spoilers.

Why would we be doing that? Spoilering is bad, speculation good mmmmmkay?

I'm against all this spoilering speculation malarkey. How do we know whether the book people aren't infiltrating this thread and insidiously telling us everything.

Don't be so bloody naive, man.

Have we ever done the 'Who would've been a better Daenerys?' discussion? I seem to be finding Emilia Clarke more and more stale and flat. Almost annoys me at times.
For me, Eva Green would've been an amazing Dany.

She was good in the first two seasons but this season has been spectacularly bad acting from her. Not sure what happened there.

Eva Green is great but she is in her mid thirties. Daenerys was about 15 at the start of the TV show.

Eva Green would have absolutely no problem in flapping her tits out as much as possible either. Great tits.

I dont get all the hate for Emilia Clarke, her character is pretty much spot on and theres not much more than you can do than read the words given to you. Its her story arc thats slow developing that puts people off.
I thought she was good in the last episode.
