Game 5: Turkey vs Croatia

There's barely any width in Turkey's game. It feels so similar to how Croatia's set up with one player who's comfortable out wide and another who's inclined to come inside all the time. No wonder the match is at a standstill so far.

Calhanoglu is completely useless at freekicks these days. He used to be such a threat only a year ago.

Calhanoglu...:annoyed: His free kicks have been quite poor. Maybe Erkin or Inan need to take more of them.

Imagine Perisic had been swapped to no. 5.

This is boring, get on both the two Messis in the second half please.

Croatia's insistance on going long and wide is a little baffling to me. They have arguably the best deep-lying playmaker in the world and he's barely been on the ball. Would be curious to know if there's been a single Modric to Rakitic pass this half.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Modric with that sweet strike!!!!!!!!!! This is probably just what this game needed.

Until now.:cool:

All time great CM in the making .. legendary goal

Never knew about the relationship, they're 2000km apart or so right? what's the reason for getting on so well?

The countries are getting along pretty well. The distance ain't any problem.
I always considered 'em as brothers.

Keeper could have done better but the drop on the shot was really deceiving.
