I think their aim is to compete with those clubs so I don't see why they'd sell one of their best players to either club.City have got a great talent in him. I can easily see him becoming a goal machine but I can also see him leaving city the moment barca or madrid come calling. So city be ready for that.

Erm ederson Mendy walker danillo seem like decent upgrades as well... they could probably do with a central midfielder (or 2 if the docs cant fix gundogan) and a central defender (or 2) but they have thw money and I fully expect them to fix those holes over the next couple of WindowsNot even close. They're just overloading their forward positions while neglecting everywhere else.

Seems to dribble less since converting to a striker and he is a good dribbler. Still pulls off the ocassional flick but I hope he start incorporating it back into his game once he completely settles at City.

I seem to recall reading somewhere there is a tacit pact between Man City and the Spanish clubs not to aggressively pursue each other's players. This conspiracy theory may explain why no major high profile moves either way if you think about it.
Even if it's not true; the Spanish clubs will now be wary of getting Neymared in revenge. So, basically I think it's unlikely we will see a peak Jesus leave unfortunately.
Madrid and Barca went for very best players. When they came for Ronaldo he was the best player in the world and a Ballon D'or winner, when they came for De Gea he was arguably the best GK in the world or at worst top 3.
Don't think City had any player who was the best in the world. They had Aguero but Madrid had Benzema who is more suited for Madrid style and Perez's pet IIRC.

Suarez at this best played better than Aguero and his injury record is far better. Also I was talking about Madrid as I don't think Barca can bully any club apart from Liverpool and Arsenal. Now they can't even do that to Liverpool.
Madrid had Ozil playing as #10 who was arguably the best when he was at Madrid, then added Bale. Don't think they had any need of Silva when they later added Isco. Silva was fantastic player and thought he suited Barca much better than Madrid.
Re player offloads, it's just business. You pay the asking price, you buy the player like we signed Di Maria.

I don't think there is a pact but the Spanish clubs may not want to rock the boat so to speak, but also atm we haven't a single player who'd get in Madrid's team except maybe Kun for Benzema. So given what our players would cost why would Real shell out huge money on subs.
Barca I think we may have a good relationship with for obvious reasons. I also feel we again though have very few who would start for them. Maybe KDB in midfield and Sane on the left wing now Dembele is injured.
Again the cost to take one of our players as opposed to how much game time they would receive would be stupidly high.
