Gaa 2013

O'Connor named is great news, but let's see how it plays out. I agree with Liam MacHale's analysis - if O'Connor doesn't make it, then it depends on if Ger Brennan plays as to what we do next - if he does, stick Dillon centre forward, Higgins to the wing and Conroy in the corner, if Brennan doesn't start then Dillon in the corner and Carolan starting in the half forward line.

Flight in an hour, this time I'm really gone!

Safe home mate. First thing i would do to O'Connor is plant a few shoulders on him. Just to test it out like!

Safe travelling, I want you in one piece to suffer the pain of defeat.

Quiet in here lads.....a little too quiet..........

Everyone still going for Dublin? The general consensus in the work comp is Dublin by 2-3 or 4-6. I think it will be a high scoring game, possibly one of the highest AI football final scores by two open teams. Looking forward to it and with the fambly fookin off for the day, I have a free tv to concentrate my hatred of Dubs into through the tv to affect the ref.

Our senior team is in the Laois QF tomorrow night for the first time in a good few years. We've a better team living abroad/transferred to Dublin clubs but we'll make do with what we have thus far.

I'm just sick of it now. Facebook and twitter are insufferable all week with morons who know nothing about GAA constantly posting shite and entering these 'like and share' competitions every few minutes. At least here it's the same few people all the time.

Yeah, those Facebook comps are a pain in the hole, especially sice most of them probably don't even have tickets.

I stay off both sites mainly because they go over the top with gobsh*tes. The bunting around my area has quadrupled too. I dont mind that so much as it's a bit of colour and that. No news from Gee Male yet. Hopefully he's arrived safely and will be returning disappointed!!!

The fecker's probably too miserable to log on with 3G incase the roaming costs him too much. Never thinking of how much we're all worrying/

I've liked and shared a few that I know are genuine. Itching for a ticket.

Going to get the season ticket next year.

Was at the club draw for the tickets the other night, didnt get one:( But feck me, it was infuriating. About 100 tickets to give out, about 150 names in the hat, but some of the people who got drawn out...a fecking Tyrone man got a ticket for his relative in Mayo or something and shite like that. Thats bullshit.

Last chance saloon now tomorrow for a ticket with only one 'good' chance and a few limp hopes on top of that.

I missed one championship match from 1999-2012, a Kerry match in 2009 I think, right up to the All Ireland Final of 2012 where I sat in the first row right behind the goal in the Cusack. Haven't been to a single game since my dad died. And I haven't really played since either. Just lost that something special. I Love the sport and can't wait to get back, but it just doesn't seem right yet.

Of course I've watched all the matches nervously, but it's not the same as being there.

It's a lovely day for the final anyways, not a cloud in the sky and temperatures supposed to hit over 20 degrees. A fitting way or stage for the two best football teams in the country and two most attacking minded teams as well to wrap the 2013 Championship.

Got a call last night when I was out saying there was a ticket for me if I wanted! Over the moon!

Would love Tyrone to win the minors and Mayo for the Seniors. Sadly because that's what I want the exact opposite will likely happen.

Dropping me kids off now, so I can get a seat in the boozer in front of all these bog warriors I normally call friends.

My sister is officially a disgrace. She's just posted a pic on facebook of her with her Jackeen boyfriend and her in a fecking Dublin shirt.

I'm sauntering in in a few minutes. Was given a ticket by a family member for nowt. I'm a lucky boy.

Hope Mayo do it, but I'm not that pushed either way.

I'll go 2-14 to 1-16 for Mayo.

You're half right so far Irwin. Was a great minor final though. Tyrone looked like they might make another amazing come back and even got within a kick of a ball at the end.

The state of that Traveller in the crowd that held onto the ball in extra time to waste time. Between that and jeering kids kicking wides. Is it any wonder people hate Mayo fans.

Was a great final surely. I thought we were miles better in the first half and the last 10 minutes but they had that purple patch after half time.

Did you hear that young lad getting interviewed there??

Sorry only saw this now. That's desperate but surely and isolated incident. Anytime I got in early for the minor (which is rare as I'm a dub :)) the young lads were encouraged.

Hill is a bit green and red today!

Who did that Irwin?

Several times in the second half when Tyrone kicked a wide or dropped the ball badly short there was clear jeering coming from the crowd. I don't even like to see it at senior level but at minors it's inexcusable.

Still laughing here at the Mayo fella getting interviewed on live TV, "unfecking believable". Brilliant.

It was a one off the holding the ball and only for a few seconds, but you just shouldn't do it.

The best Minor team in the country won it this year. I thought they'd win it by more so not too bad. Well done and I'll try my best to push that to one side and support them for the final. Hard to compartmentalise the bitterness.

Yeah no need for it at any level. Hoping for a big game now. UP THE DUBS

good minor win for Mayo. Hope the seniors can match it. As for the jeering, it should have no place at a GAA match.

Brolly going for Mayo...big physical unit; Pat going for Dublin..better forwards; Colm says Mayo...made of strong stuff. Lots of Mayo fans on the hill.

loads of mayo fans on hill16.

Have a feeling Mayo will give it a right good and stay with Dublin till 50-55mins but Dubs to pull away and win by 5-6 points.
