Played for Anderlecht when we met them in the EL.
He's got almost a full moon though...Doesn't fit the agenda so reliabilitymeter is low here.
I do think ETH would get the best version out of him but a lot would depend on De Jong's hunger to succeed in the premier league too. I hope we only proceed with this signing providing he actually wants to be here. I would swiftly jog on to the next target if we need to convince him to come to be honest.
We have 200 million deficit. We just sold Coutinho for 20 so still 180 to go.So you feel could potentially be sold then
FDJ probably won’t choose us if we have competition from city, only way he chooses us is if we’re the only ones interested and he’s desperate for a move. Obviously we’re a bigger club but we’re also a bigger mess. We’ve ruined players careers. We’ll always recover? We’ve not won a trophy since what 2017? Been recovering for a long time… I am optimistic though and think things will start to improve under ten Hag.The only reason player chooses Spurs over United if players used to work with Conte and at the same time players rate Conte very highly and belive that Conte can execute the project. This logic applies to FDJ that he would still choose us over Bayern, City and Liverpool because he used to work with ETH and at the same time he rates ETH and believe that ETH can execute the project and get the best out of him. Of course, if he doesn't rate ETH then the managerial factor is not there.
So other than that managerial factor, no players would choose Spurs over United. Man United are still bigger club with greater resources means they can always come back to the winning way. Just like what Tuchel said: ''Man United are huge club, they will always recover''
They have a manager who is known for winning trophies, that automatically puts them in front of us. They’ll probably most likely challenge for top 4 each year aswell with conte being there and him actually having a transfer window to improve his team. How exactly is Spurs closer to trophies than us ? Unless you see top 4 as a trophy ? I would say, we have a bigger chance of winning EL than Spurs winning CL next year.
Domestic cups - it's as good as anyone's.
Don’t see why he wouldn’t be.. especially if they get top 4. Only way I see him leaving is if they don’t sign him who he wants in the summer.I’d be surprised if Conte is still there next season
Where does that number come from?We have 200 million deficit. We just sold Coutinho for 20 so still 180 to go.
So Levy being Levy?Don’t see why he wouldn’t be.. especially if they get top 4. Only way I see him leaving is if they don’t sign him who he wants in the summer.

I expect Spurs to get top 4 this year.

These days, players who want to win trophies is either joining the club that already been established to win trophies or players who is buying into the project. The only way for player can buying into the project if there is someone that he can trust and believes to lead success and one of these ''someone'' is the manager. FDJ won't choose us if he doesn't rate ETH. If he rates ETH then he will buy into our project that is managed by a manager who was able to get the best out of him and can guarantee the player an important role in the project ETH is building.
Aah,fair enough.Yes they could finish 4th and still win the EL next year.
By finishing 3rd in their CL group in case you are still lost

he’s not really and is better going forward, I think even Xavi himself said something like why would you shackle him with the responsibility of a DM. You’d lose so much of what he is.He is a dm
City have ruined plenty of careers too. He simply won't play much at cityFDJ probably won’t choose us if we have competition from city, only way he chooses us is if we’re the only ones interested and he’s desperate for a move. So basically better as a box to box player with someone around ie a DM doing the hard work for him.But Xavi himself shackles him in a way and goes against his natural game of dropping deep, telling him to wait and receive the ball from Busquets in midfield. His best position is still as a DM on paper, but someone with freedom to push forward, rather than a CM, as you will also lose out on his other exceptional abilities of receiving the ball from the CBs and spreading it out/gliding through under pressure.
Just leave it, so many people think that playing near the usual 6 position makes him a DM or call him a 6. But haven't actually seen him play much or are just unaware what a 6 or an 8 or a 10 are.he’s not really and is better going forward, I think even Xavi himself said something like why would you shackle him with the responsibility of a DM. I’m seeing that in action. Ideally what I’ve seen he is probably best in a 4231 sitting with a DM allowing him to come deep and create if he wants as well as get forward doing what he is best at.Just leave it, so many people think that playing near the usual 6 position makes him a DM or call him a 6. The “box to box” comment was sarcasm responding to a post given the description they gave was as a box to box player. No, he is a deep lying playmaker and no he isn't better when getting forward, he is better when he can control the flow of the game from a relatively deep position and adequate but unnatural when asked to move into the final third.

If you read further comments you will see how I view him which is sort of similar to CarRick with lesser passing ability but superior ball carrying ability. But he’s still not someone I would trust to hold a midfield together hence why I’d say he is better with a more defensive midfielder which people seem to be disagreeing with as to me he DeJong is not a DM.
More so what MyOnlySolskjaer just said, Someone to help our transitions from defence to attack.
I think the poster probably meant De Ligt
My bad, read it wrong.Played for Anderlecht when we met them in the EL.
Think you’ve just answered your own question!Don’t see why he wouldn’t be.. especially if they get top 4. Only way I see him leaving is if they don’t sign him who he wants in the summer.
Even then it would be too early to believe. Just wait until December when the Caf is filled with threads about how he's underperforming because he clearly didn't want to come here, or how he should've never been signed because he didn't fit our setup.Nah still not believing this.
will wait until he’s sat next to Erik signing the contract.
No fun in that, you have got to tickle your inner muppet at least a bit!Nah still not believing this.
