Some of this yes but Christiano has told the world he wants to leave, he wanted to leave on 2006 but he never came out publicly and told the click pages as you say, why did he do that because he has no respect for the club he had when Sir Alex and David Gill were present.
Yeah, but that's Ronaldo talking, not the club - they've been tight lipped up to now except to reiterate what they said earlier about him, ie: he's under contract for another year. What I said earlier still stands - the club are not saying anything about the state of their transfer activity. It's mainly press speculation, as it ever was - going back decades.

I am surprised the Spanish PFA have not taken Barca to task. Applying public pressure on a player to take a pay cut is not on.

Not sure if this is sarcasm, but yeah, i'm sure he'd be thrilled at seeing two new guys come in on much more money than he's on after being made to take a huge pay cut.
I can imagine he's already thrilled at the prospect

Footballers want two things. Money and success. Some are more motivated by one than the other. With FDJ it’s impossible to know.
My point was IF he decides he’d rather stay at Barca than move to Utd, and IF he accepts a wage deferral or wage cut, then surely he’d then naturally want Barca to be the most successful team possible, with the best players possible.
Imagine agreeing to stay at a club you supposedly love, and then rather than wanting the club to be the best they can possibly be, you get angry when they sign a world class player like Lewandowski. It makes no sense to me that he’d think like that.
As per my first point though, neither you nor I have any idea what his main motivating factor is. It might solely be money, in which case he should take the highest wages he can. Or it might solely be success, in which case he’d want to be at a team with the best possible players. I guess we’ll see. My best bet is that he agrees a deferral rather than a cut, thus maximising his chances of trophies, and maximising his wealth.

Your club is pile of shiit right now, trying to sign expensive players while trying to lower
the salary of current players.

No, there is a lot of misinformation. You don't know how the club accounts are right now.

Sounds like great fun,but just like Messi generating 80% of Barcelonas total revenue it’s not how it’s going to work out.

I have no idea you're talking about.

This is total BS. It can work when a player only has 6 months left or so on his contract, but there's no way Barcelona leaves De Jong on the bench for 4 years while paying him his full salary.

You can try to spin that the way you want, but this whole circus just aims at putting pressure on De Jong so he leaves or changes his contract.

We are talking about what could happen, hypothesis. Obviously if FDJ stays Xavi will make him play.
Like FDJ, if he stays, his salary will be lowered or he will leave, he will not stay at Barcelona with his current salary.

Chemical Xavi is hardly a man of morals. Perfect coach for such a shithouse club.

Explain the reason for each thing.

I like it when the Barca boys get all defensive.

I hate Bayern with an absolute pashion, but Barcelona could only dream of being as well run as them

When there is no competition a club can make easier decisions and save a lot of money.
Can you imagine that Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, City, Liverpool took away their best players and coaches from their rival?
Bayern, as soon as they had a little pressure, already fired Kovac and Ancelotti and spent eighty million euros for a FB or a large amount of money for Renato Sánchez or €60M for a player in the last year of his contract and having spent a year without play due to injury.

Any argument?

Busquets and Alba are still on significantly higher wages than De Jong, yet they don't seem to be part of this same guilt trip lower wages or don't play ultimatum. Being proud Catalans you would think they'd be the first to take wage cuts for the good of their beloved club

Barcelona wants to give them a salary reduction as well.

If Barcelona bench FdJ just for insisting on his contractual agreed salary, this will be a great feast for every labor law lawyer.

That's not how it works in Europe.

No, a club pays a player to be available to the coach, not to play or not play.

I have no idea you're talking about.

Well that's a shocker.

He has a long term contract, if you try to freeze him out of the team due to refusing to accept lower wages than what is stipulated in his contract, he can tear up his contract and move on a free.

Saves them the wages. See, it worked, wages reduced

I get that but we don’t exactly have the greatest record of briefing the press and getting transfers done efficiently or do you disagree ?

Barcelona wants to give them a salary reduction as well.

Yet they haven't received the same public shaming and Barcelona fans aren't pressuring them to take wage cuts in the same way they are Frenkie De Jong, even though in reality De Jong should have the least pressure of the 3 to reduce his wages for no reason, since he's not a lifelong Barcelona fan who came through La Masia.

We should just walk out from the negotiation. Let Barca alone in the table, feck them. We need players, but not specifically De Jong. This has taken too long and it's embarrassing.

I know Ten Hag wants him, but surely there must be a second and third choice.

Pretty much this. If what’s holding this up is a difference if 5-10 we need to wrap this up so we can move onto other transfer business. If the hangup is with Frenkie himself on account of residual obligations or his desire to remain in Barcelona it’s time to pull the plug.

You have dozens of posts on the last pages with fake news and then when reality hit you in the face you are going to start with ridiculous conspiracy theories. And that they have explained things to you several times.

A few days ago, Barça was obliged to sell before June 30... And now what? Well, now it will be more fake news.

And the user who said that the club paid me... Check out some of my comments, nobody here is more critical of Laporta than I am.

You're delusional

The Barcelona people are much more tired of Piqué, Busquets and Jordi Alba than FDJ.

If I agree with you here, I don't like to make these things public or put pressure on the player with the fans

You're delusional

I think June 30 is over, right? And if you search there is a comment of mine where I said that Barcelona did not need to sell any player before the end of June because the sale of 10% of the television rights was going to be activated. And what happened in the end? reality check

You are contradicting yourself here. How can Bayern poach the best players and coaches from rivals that due to lack of competition don't exist in the first place?
As if Barcelona faces that much more competition. You guys and Real Madrid have a free reign into the whole Central and South American market.

You club is terribly run and ever other club, be it Man United or Bayern, who are in the unlucky position to have to deal with you are fekked. Deals which would have been completed weeks ago, drag on due to your unstable financial position and your board's megalomania to buy top players despite being broke.

So everything is fine now then?

The club is pushing the players to accept the financial responsibility for the mess the club made. If the club was being financially responsible they wouldn't be signing new players in addition to this. Instead they got De Jong to agree to a wage deferral on money the club agreed to pay him and now they are trying to pressure him (through the media no less, so setting the fans on him as well) into accepting less or selling him. Whilst doing that they are attempting to sign at least four new players.

By all means talk about it all like it's matter of fact, but it's a shitty, and despicable way to treat their employees and if it was Man Utd I'd say the same thing.
Barcelona are a scumbag of a club. I’ll enjoy watching their next 20 years

Can someone explain the June 30 deadline? I'm at a total loss. So they needed money from transfers until then but don't now? I have no insight in Barca's finances but this doesn't make much sense does it?

No, a club pays a player to be available to the coach, not to play or not play.
Players don't have a guarantee to play but you can't sideline a player to the stands for months just because he refuses a salary cut.
Such behavior will also unsettle the dressing room and send warning signals to future transfers not to sign for such a club

Hopefully, over the next couple of days, this will be sorted one way or the other, if he doesn't come we need to look at other options quickly and i hope we have been looking at other players just in case

Wasn’t Laporta the dingleberry who sabotaged our deal to sign Ronaldinho as well? Guy is a bonafide pleb and I hope he loses all credibility after this.

Players are signed for the first team, relegating them to the reserves because you fecked up your finances isn't part of their contract

Romano's tweet earlier does shed some light in what appears a dark tunnel. His accuracy has been questionable but generally I think he's reliable when he sticks his neck out. His assertions the last few months with how hard City were pushing for Haaland were correct.

This never really happens, people don't really care.

Not comparable to Fabregas. At least then we had Fellaini to fall back on. If we are stating the season with McFred I’m going to scream. It wouldn’t surprise me though.

No, there is a lot of misinformation. You don't know how the club accounts are right now.

So is there any chance you can keep FdJ and also get Lewa and Raphinha and maybe even Kounde without selling your soul (TV revenues)?

As far as I can tell it's impossible.

Then the question is what do you value more? FdJ or your future TV money for a really long time?

It's impossible for them to register any new players as it stands.

Barcelona need to sell the other 15% of the television rights to pay the losses of these years and return to 1:1.
There is talk of an amount close to €350M+

The sale of 49% BLM for €300M right now is stopped because it is being said that it is not necessary. We'll see how it ends.

This year's wage bill is €560M and includes 100M+ in deferred salaries, it can also include all or part of Messi's loyalty bonus, it is said to be about €30.
Once this is paid the wage bill will fall, it will also depend on what is signed with its corresponding salary and amortization and what is sold, loaned and cut in wages.

There are still many variants to make drastic conclusions.

And last year's losses are inflated by €200M+ for Laporta's convenience.
We will have to wait a few weeks to see the economic balance of this year and until September to see the next budget.

I'm aware of this so what misinformations have I been spreading specifically?

How many more tweets that "De Jong deal still on but taking longer than anticipated..." My god this is beating a dead dog into the ground.
