It was a tounge in cheek comment mate. For what it's worth, I don't think the club would waste time pursuing this deal without getting the go ahead from FDJ himself.
 
Assuming this goes through, it’s a great signing and one that I hope will trigger the rest of the transfer business this summer. We’re not going to change the entire team in one window but if we can get 3 or 4 top quality players to replace the ones departed, that will be a successful window and a step in the right direction.

He can still refuse. Nobody is forcing him to join us. Although him prolonging his stay at Barca won't help his cause. Maybe he will be frozen out of the team, who knows?

Sanchez was a much higher profile signing than FdJ. I thought we were getting a Chilean Messi, instead turned into Chilean Bebe.
