This is up there with one of the worst posts I’ve seen on here
You don't visit here very often then otherwise you would know most of my posts are rated highly amongst the 'Worst post's . Of course ETH is not having second thoughts, all I said was you couldn't blame him if he was, this is all taking too long and he knows it;)

GOAT at saying absolutely nothing in the most amount of characters possible.
That wasn't intended to be posted.

You do seem to have a thing against Romano and that's you business.

Or you like actual news for people other than Romano

I do, I just also know Romano is also a good source of information. You can compare him to Simon Stone of the BBC, he'll always be later on United stories but will only post when he 100% knows it's true.

Romano on the back post ready and waiting for that tap-in moment..

Tap-in merchant doesn't seem to do any real updates on the state of negotiating, but just recycles news when a deal is done. Hedging his bets constantly. Romano has got too "mainstream" and "safe"

nose out of joint this summer. Romano has had a real shocker.
He recycles shit but Romano has been the first to a number of transfers this summer. Obviously not United related (Henderson aside) as we've done feck all.

He just comments on near enough everything is all.

I just think it's funny how everyone holds him up to be this transfer god when in reality 99% of the time he barely says anything of note.

I don't compare him to Simon Stone or Ornstien because he has a different type of reputation IMO

I know that we’re definitely going to get de jong but has anyone seen that Samuele Ricci play? he’s a 20 year old that plays for Torino… he’s suppose to be quality but haven’t seen any interest in him. I’ve signed him on fm and he comes world class. Can play DM.. we should be taking gambles on players like this.

Two completely different types of player, though. De Jong does the fundamentals well and his signing should be more beneficial for the team, Pogba is/was more of an individual, flair player.
100%
Similar skillset but Frenkie controls the tempo of games and is capable of speeding things up. Pogba generally slows it down when he's on the ball. Frenkie just seems more intelligent and versatile, a testament to the Dutch youth system.

Romano can be a good source for some transfers but it's clear with this one that he's completely in the dark about what's happening. We know though that he has his "here we go" tweet lined up for Frenkie and will announce it as if he had the inside scoop all along. A bit more honesty is needed, sometimes.

Absolute fraud of a man. Let others do the heavy lifting.

People like yourselves literally ignore every exclusive that he posts and seem to assess his validity as a journalist on his inside info on your favourite transfer.

No, it just annoys me how he constantly recycles information so I pretty much ignore him because most of what he says is shit.

That's fine and your opinion but I've seen some real crap sources in here that get spunked over. Romano isn't bad at all. Each to their own though

How have Barca managed to feck up their finances to this extent? Mind boggling.

Paying half a bilion for Dembele, Griezmann and Coutinho for starters. Paying Messi like 2 mil a week and signing young Frankie from Eredivisie and paying him 400 k per week just like that. So Yeah….

Also still having Pique, Busquets, Alba etc. In the squad paying them base on the the past success rather then current ability instead of buying proper replacement.

If you think about that being loyal and sentimental to your homegrown players recently is turning to be really bad idea if you look at ourselfs and Barca. You are not performaning then feck off. We are hoping to get the best out of Jones(for his 10+ years), Rashford underperforming for 2 years already, McT who should be spending half of his time in Championship and then fighting for the relegation from the PL being Fulham or Norwich player.

Just get rid of that kind of players and move on ffs.

I think Real CL success in recent years has put them on some pressure to deliver and they just made bad decision after bad decision. What is more they have not been lucky with their managers as well as us.

And i think that everything started with that Neymar transfer do PSG they Lost great player and burnt all that money for underperforming players.

Great idea, have someone in the background to play FM and then execute that in real life, then we can see how accurate that game really is.

All the usual suspects are jumping on the positive development news from this weekend

Yes but the mind boggling part is that nobody at the club put on the brakes at some point in the middle of this madness.

There is no verbal guarantee when money is involved.. If the agent agreed to that, he should be fired.

If its written in the contract, he'll get his money..

Dembélé and Griezmann were largely financed by Neymar. Their issues start around Guardiola's last year, Barcelona were alreay paying large wages to their starters and had a policy of few top level contracts and lots of youth and Barcelona B players completing the team but around 2011-2012, they started to distance themselves from that and added more and more expensive squad players. A team that already had Thiago, Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta added an expensive Fabregas, they replaced a cheap Bojan with Alexis Sanchez. The following season they added to their already expensive team, Neymar on a crazy deal that led Rossell to prison, they then got Bojan back for more than they received(he was later sold for a loss). A few years later they bring Suarez, Rakitic and Ter Stegen, now these players are very good but they came with Mathieu, Vermaelen and Bravo, all of these players had big contracts and half of them were not useful and simply cost Barcelona money. The following season they brought Turan and Aleix Vidal both useless and both costing big in wages, the following season was even worse in terms of transfers Umtiti was the only good player but his injuries ultimately turned him into a financial blackhole, the other players were Andre Gomes, Alcacer, Digne and Cillesen.

And that trend just continues, they keep spending where they shouldn't, give contracts that are unmovable, they owe departing players money and keep adding to their expenses. The issue for Barcelona is a decade of reckless behavior. The Neymar buy out was a blessing for them but they decided to keep doing what put them in a hole instead of resetting their finances.

This makes a lot of sense. People keep moaning at the club being slow but if it's a hold up on Barca's end what can we do?

It's going to get done eventually, they'll just have to promise to pay him in the future.

Barcelona: Frenkie, we are going to lower your salary next year.
Frenkie: Umm, no thanks.
Barcelona: …
