How dare he speak well of his current employer
A current employer that's trying to push him out the door. If he was interested in coming here you'd have thought he'd have left the 'biggest club in the world' part out. Whatever way you chop it, it's not a non quote like you want folks to believe, though I understand the eye rolling at imagined hysteria must make you feel great.

Nope don't like that quote all that much, still happening, but don't need

What universe are you living in where you think Neves would be cheap or even remotely in the same league as De Jong? He'll cost a fortune, and isn't anywhere near as good.

Neves would not cost a fortune and definitely much less than De Jong, who yet again, has repeated his desire to stay at Barca. Hopefully the club has some sense to move on.

He's perfectly entitled to say what he wants about Barca, the annoying thing is that we are clearly trying to pry him away from there when he doesn't want to come. Is that a player we need when we're at one of our lowest points?

Move in m. It’s early enough that it means maybe we can crack in with deals for Timber and Anthony and potentially go for another midfielder Neves and Eriksen would be lovely.

Unless he's near the end of his contract Wolves aren't going to be letting go for cheap, you looking at upwards of 50m at the very least.

Last thing I saw regarding Neves asking price was between 80 and 100 million pounds. :wenger:

Obvious wum is boring

You’re right. The mass hysteria over him answering a question in an interview where he actually gave nothing away and when nobody actually knows what’s going on is much more enthralling

Nah, your non sequiturs on di maria are what REALLY get the people through the turnstiles.

Yeah, everybody wants to leave the place that they think is the best.

He said absolutely nothing.

FDJ basically telling us if he joins us it’s only because Barca forced him out

I get that people get annoyed by people going over the top with his comments, but those who completely disregard the possibility that De Jong actually wants to stay at Barca and that he meant those comments are just as bad.

People on here who hysterically oppose others apparently showing signs of hysteria is funny to see.

Are people actually reading into him saying biggest club? Barca and Madrid are the only 2 clubs who are more obsessed with calling themselves the biggest clubs than United is, of course it's a nothing story

Just media trained crap, he’s not going to say I’m leaving or staying, especially if he doesn’t even know what’s happening yet, Jesus

He made it clear he doesn't fancy moving though, strange when the club president and coach have given "unnecessary" interview stating your staying depends on their financial situation, you should at least be on the fence till everything is sorted.

Say what?
Apologies everyone wants to move from the biggest club to what they perceive a smaller one.

Add that to previous comments of it being his dream club and it couldn’t be anymore obvious.

:lol::lol:

He’s being coached by the United camp on how to answer. Him answering this way only puts more pressure on Barca

People can close their eyes and believe whatever makes them feel good about the potential transfer. But at this point, Frenkie has made it abundantly clear that he has no interest in leaving Barca and is being forced out due to their financial situation being what it is.

I was going to comment on this possible transfer, but the over exaggeration of negativity in the last few pages over a quote has definitely put me off.

People need to relax. You have forums, fan channels, twatter etc etc all getting in a tizzy over nothing, both literally and figuratively.

I mean, obviously? That's the only reason we'll be signing him. It's not a big hush hush secret.

Who's he, and is this true or just some made up quote to feck with everyone?

Edit: he's got 15k followers. Who is this clown and why are everyone believing his tweet?
He’s a journalist who asked the question post-match. He kind of help to put the words in De Jong’s mouth mentioning twice that he was already at a great club.

We should move on to other targets he's a good player but its essential the players he bring in really want to be here, I don't want a player who feels he is doing us a favor coming here that's how the dressing room became so powerful when a player comes here purely on his own terms, you never see city or Liverpool in this kind of scenario even at the start of Klopp's tenure.

yeah this is just a very standard PR answer.

He’s not shooting him self in the foot until he knows his time is definitely done there.

This place never cease to amaze me. Holy shit.

Listen to how that question is asked and you would understand that it’s a nothing answer.

If we can agree a fee, he will come.
