That’s Euros chap. It equates to £68.3m which personally I consider a reasonable price for a player of Frenkies quality.

I know how exchange rates work. I suppose I should have used the € symbol so people didn't assume I can't read or convert currencies.

Nearly £70m before add-ons seems a bit steep especially as Barca are strapped for cash and need to sell.

I think diallo is very far down the list of players who will break into the first team. Absolutely stank at rangers for the part last season.
He rarely got chances though did he? I know he scored a couple of goals but since scoring on his debut he was benched most of the games and brought on with not much time left.

De Jong has gone backwards since his Ajax days. Jut hope Ten Hag can get him playing like that again if he decides to come here. We will need a DM that can win tackles alongside him.

I will fight you all on this hill. Manchester is plenty sunny.
As someone who grew up in Delhi, India I can never understand people classifying “sunny” as good weather. Growing up I would have killed for grey cloudy skies all year round. In fact the cloudy days were the awesome days where everyone would come out to play footy .

Call me crazy but I like the climate in the NW of England. Nothing too extreme, pretty mild all year round. Yes it can be grey and wet quite a bit but not nearly as much as people make out.

Great conditions for football. Who wants to run around in 30 degree heat.
"Too much sun a desert makes."

The red-tinted spectacles have been replaced by the red-tinted sunglasses.

Manchester, sunny

Around 20 degrees and no rain is absolutely perfect for me.

Yeah the rain part is extremely exaggerated. It's true that it is grey and overcast a lot of the time, but it doesn't rain anywhere near as often as the the lazy stereotype would have you believe.

Sunny warm but not too hot days with a cool breeze is the best you can ask for.

A Fine weather player then. Watched him last night and he is a player who don't like to tackle. We will need another DM alongside him to win the ball.

I live in Seattle and its the same story here. Its cloudy most of the times and people just keep talking about rains.

Last game is Tuesday vs Wales.

I feel like I’ve been here before multiple times before though, we wait for internationals to end and expect some movement but nothing happens other than the usual cycle of tweets stating it’s close/not close, bid/no bid. Player goes on holiday, so we wait for player to return from holiday before anything can happen with they cycle of tweets continuing.

Hopefully it will be different this time.

Yeah or end of tournament and then off they go on holiday and won't be back until our pre season starts or fly out on tour.

I especially chose to look at this game last night. Wanted to see both Timber and De Jong as we are interested in them. Well I was not impressed with either. De Jong was in the refs face all the time, until he was eventually booked. Timber was taken off in the second half with Van Gaal saying his legs were gone.
We will need someone alongside De Jong to win the ball as he is not the bravest in a tackle. Maybe Sangare or a tough tackling DM.

Yeah hopefully that shows Erik we still need that solid DM to get the best out of him

Yesterday was an allround crap performance by our team honestly. Him included. Normally he's much more agressive.

He played in the next game I believe and was stinking and struggled to recover or make an impact after that. They didn't trust him.

Seriously, where I am there is about 300 sunny days per year, cloudy days and shade are nice.

Pairing De Jong with McTominay, Fred or Van de Beek would be better...

De Jong and Neves are both holding midfielders. Moutinho is another player who would be a better fit alongside Frenkie.

mctominay? Fred? VDB?

Haven't you seen enough of them over the years ffs?

Frenkie next to Fred or Mctominay would be better defensively than next to Neves...
If we can't get anyone better, I'm actually quite excited for a Fred De Jong partnership. I think they are very complementary players. McFrenkie - not so much.

He was poor in the last two games for Holland but he was very good in their first game against Belgium.

I miss the times when footballers' twitter accounts were less polished and players like Rooney tweeted about Mr Bean and picking up Rio in the morning. Miss me with that PR statement shite.

I feel if this transfer drags on he will tell Barca I'm nor going then come the end of the window, he's forced out and goes to another Club.
I hope they sort a deal out and quick, ETH is the pull for him nothing else would want him to leave Barca , we all know they need to sell this is a begrudgingly transfer on FDJ part . So let's do it sharpish.

It's not even in the top ten rainy city's in the UK, so that's a myth.
I can’t find a good source for that but even then it wasn’t even necessarily always rain it was just grey so much more than expected. For reference I’ve lived in Derbyshire, Sheffield, Manchester and London and have spent long spells in Bristol and the weather definitely impacted me more in manny than anywhere else. Maybe I was just unlucky for 5 years?
