The one big CL club I’m not worried about. Utd would provide more big games without CL than PSG could offer due to the leagues.Rumours of PSG getting involved now.
He reported himself talks started a few days ago
He's not the only one though, most of the UK based journos have been fed the same info
If only there was a club out there who had a dutch manager who knew how to get the best out of him... if only.
Or yesterday reports are true, Xavi told him the board aren't impressed with his performances....so this was his response.
How long can we afford to wait?
I am not liking this transfer one bit. We were promised new era but we are again begging a player to join us who doesn't want to be here. I rather finish 5th with a upcoming talented player who wants to be here than finishing 5th with a player who is not convinced to be playing for us.
Why not finish above 5 instead?I am not liking this transfer one bit. We were promised new era but we are again begging a player to join us who doesn't want to be here. Famously the only two possibilities.I am not liking this transfer one bit. We were promised new era but we are again begging a player to join us who doesn't want to be here. 3 days ago he said we have opened direct talk but now we haven't?
Are we benjamin button of transfer?
I feel Romano is not the guy for this transfer. All he does is regurgitate the players want for UCL football and provides nothing else.
I’m sure he’ll be the first to let people know the deal is agreed though and the contract details.
I do not know the answer to that but from what reports are telling De jong is not keen to join so why keep on pursue him and waste time. What young talented players who want and are convinced to come here given how shit we have been for almost a decade?
Because at this moment with or without dejong I see us finishing 5th unless eth can do some magic. Why not finish above 5 instead?
I don’t. We’ll finish top 4 is he does some coaching (which is something we haven't had for a few years)Because at this moment with or without dejong I see us finishing 5th unless eth can do some magic.
Hasn’t failed yet. In fact signing FDJ could be key to him succeedingI wonder if what happened to Donnie has made him hesitant too -- failed at United and Everton.
No. The report says he prefers to stays at Barcelona. There is no report says he is not keen to join us if Barcelona is selling him due to financial problem. So to answer your question why keep on pursue him? Because he will be available and he will need to find new club, thus, why we are offering him the project we have under ten Hag. He can't just retire from football just because Barcelona are selling him.I do not know the answer to that but from what reports are telling De jong is not keen to join so why keep on pursue him and waste time.

The manager alone will improve his chancesHasn’t failed yet. In fact signing FDJ could be key to him succeeding
Thanks. I just remember the great playing relationship they had for Ajax. They knew each other’s game inside out. Imagine if ETH could unlock that for United? We’d have such great balance in the midfield. Let’s hope we get FDJ
Nice to have a half-full kinda guy in the forum instead of the constant whinging we get here!!
Absolutely, the manager rated him highlyThe manager alone will improve his chances
And not only that he knows how to get a midfield to control a game of footballAbsolutely, the manager rated him highly
There is an entire elongated discussion about the same subject way back with some differing views.Repeating what's already been said by other folk but who would be the ideal and realistic DM to partner up with Frenkie?
The guy is an absolutely phenomenal player and if we get him I'd be ecstatic, but we really need to make sure that we can use him to the best of his ability.
what the hellFor god sake just move on to the next one.
He literally doesn't want to come here. It's quite pathetic chasing a player that clearly has zero interest in us.

Why is it that there seemingly is no other club trying to sign him? 60-80M sounds reasonable for someone with his talent. I’m assuming his wages might me an issue? 300k+ from what I’ve heard (might be wrong).
Thanks, I'll have a search back as well! There is an entire elongated discussion about the same subject way back with some differing views.
For what it's worth he was paired with schone while at Ajax and if I were to give my two cents i reckon a player in kante's mold would do well by doing the necessary leg work for him.
It's to be seen but perhaps Fred could perform that role for us.
Doesn't that say about the situation even more, the fact your own employer wants to sell you and the other employer wants you but even then you want to stay there.No. The report says he prefers to stays at Barcelona. McTomimay and De Jong it is!Kante is a completely different kind of player to what Schöne offered.
Kante is a roaming player just like De Jong.
Fred similarly is more of an active presser type from what I've seen.
You want someone who holds position around the centre circle more.
