I see where you're coming from, and it could of course happen, but they still haven't bid and even when they do, we're still there or thereabouts

Open question to all -
Over the last decade when United have been in battle for a key player against a better team, they've just thrown the money at it.
Chelsea need a defender and a striker more and with De Jong too, they're closing in on £400m spent. Surely there's a limit to what they can spend on a midfielder. They can't just keep spending.
So... Do you think should just throw the money at it again and blow Chelsea out the water to avoid the backlash if they don't sign him - Or should they stay true to their limits and risk the likelihood he'll choose Chelsea if money is similar?
In this scenario, do they still have a landline? Absolute wrong ‘uns. Steer well clear. The player has certainly made a decision on leaving Barca hasn't he. If it's true that we've agreed a fee with the agent, then we're certainly still in with a chance and it's now a straight shoot out.
Hopefully Erik will be ringing him non stop so all Bohley gets is "Hi this is Frenkie and Mikky's voicemail."
If he ends up at Chelsea, Laurel and Hardy should both be sacked with immediate effect. Again ask, have they even talked to Frenkie?
If he's made a decision, then i'd say that it's a private one that no one really knows about. The player has certainly made a decision on leaving Barca hasn't he. If it's true that we've agreed a fee with the agent, then we're certainly still in with a chance and it's now a straight shoot out.

Have they talked to him? We don't know. He hasn't denied the stories of wanting to go to Chelsea more than come to us...If we've had assurances that he'd come, but he's now reneging on those promises, i'm not sure how the blame can be put at their door. They've done all they can in my opinion.
Nothing has changed... why am i not surprised

He's still maintaining he wants to stay, and more power too him in that situation. Make Barca honour his contract. I still believe he'll end up leaving and i truly believe that he'll end up here after all is said and done.

He is definitely the sort of bloke whos mrs insists on a joint facebook profile. No, she just demands to be on his voicemail (she was saying her name too, in case that wasn't clear) to put out a warning to all the chicas
Wheres the tweet that says Chelsea has agreed terms? Must have missed that oneClearly has. Frenkie has the option of joining another club now. This wasn’t the case until Chelsea agreed terms with Barca.

So what was the nonsense with only putting in a bid when they know the player wants to join?
Something doesn’t smell right with this

Something hasn't sat right with me throughout all of this.So what was the nonsense with only putting in a bid when they know the player wants to join?

"Hey we want to sign one of your players but lets not talk about it"He said yesterday that the meeting with Barcelona was to discuss only Aubameyang and not De Jong.
