ive been well and truly aboard this train and I'm quite dissapointed to see the final stop approaching.

I can't imagine any top player watching that first half against Brighton and not being desperate to avoid joining us right now. Let's hope he didn't watch it.

Unfortunately, much of the noise from the more reliable Portuguese outlets is about Liverpool and their interest in him. I don't think we're really keen on him, anyways, even if we've scouted him.
It's not even just Nunes, there's players like Bennacer and Caqueret at Lyon who could provide solutions for us imo.

And this is a unpredictable window for us because the recruitment is being driven by ten Hag. And it's being driven by ten Hag due to the scouting setup at first team level not being structured towards effectively supporting the head coach. And this has been reported first by Daniel Taylor of The Athletic (which I posted on the forum) and today by Marcel van der Kraan who basically said the same in the video below at the 5 minute mark. So the scouting setup that was structured at first team level by the heads of scouting (Lawlor and Bout) has been looked at and been called out to be inefficient to support the head coach hence both men have been let go/sacked. I think things will be restructured and the structural process will be realigned with the input of ten Hag. But until then it wouldn't surprise me if we end up making a signing or two that hasn't been discussed.

Around the 5 minute mark below.

Tuchel might not even last the season. If he wants chooses Chelsea we all know there is nothing we wouldn’t offer to get him here. I’ll be gutted but I know our negotiators are everything but they sure ain’t tight when it comes to saying yes yes yes

And if I were a top pro, I'd want diverse coaching experience. I would actually prefer to play for Tuchel instead of going to a manager who has already coached me.

Frenkie should consider that he may went to his dream club but as a player went backwards. They did not know how to help him maximize his potential or they did not want to because they play a different style of football.

If he goes to Chelsea he may face a similar situation under a new system, new coach, and again increased competition in the midfield area. He may join a “safer” team, but individually he may stall again. His abilities and playstyle are indeed very unique for a coach to integrate him easily in the team. ETH has described the changes he needed to make to get the best out of him in Ajax.

He will enter his prime years and now is the time to do the next step if we wants to become one of the greats. It may sound funny but he is very very lucky that ETH, the coach who knows how to make him shine better than anyone joined a top club (no jokes here, you know what I mean) and that he wants to build the midfield and team around him.

(if he worries too much about where United are going and that he will waste his career, he can ask for a gentleman’s agreement to be sold in 2 summers, if the team has not progressed enough)

Hope he makes the smart choice for his career and talent.

We should have closed this deal during the first four weeks, we should have agreed to pay what was required to get the deal done, we now look like mugs after playing ourselves, only for us to become desperate enough to pay whatever it's going to take in other to land him now.

He should probably ask Harry Kane how that ends

I said this wouldn’t be solved after I got back from a 3 week European tour with a certain band last month (and got maybe deserved pelters) and lo and behold..nothing has fvcking changed, if he stays at Barca then fvck him as he’s quite clearly a wimp, if he goes to Chelsea after stringing ETH along all summer then he’s a cvnt

But if he joins us then he’s a hero and the greatest player ever.

It’s probably true. Agents met at Barca today, they need to know what’s happening before the weekend or their new signings can walk on a free. This whole thing doesn’t strike me as organised.

That'd be funny. Lewandowski walks on a free and we sign him!

I wonder if Erik ten Hag keeps pursuing him after he's signed for Chelsea? And how about this thread?

I am a player that like to be on top. I don’t mind joining United.

I still expect him to become a united player. Until we hear official reports of a Chelsea bid being accepted, I don't think there's reason to panic.

BREAKING: @ManUtd are now in pole position to sign Frenkie De Jong with Chelsea close behind. Senior #mufc club officials are in agreement that it would be described as “catatrophe” if they miss out on the Dutchman’s services. #CFC

Cant post links still.

Ah it's just so vague like everything fecking else about this saga. Oh I've just realised I might be edging towards the door on this one.
